I have installed WA on windows 7 starter(netbook) and also installed the newest beta update and added the wkcolorfix files to the root directory. However when running worms and switching to a custom resolution the display is weird. The colors are fine but the whole thing appears, for lack of a better word, "fuzzy".
I also have the same setup on my windows 7 desktop which runs fine. Any known issues with windows 7 starter and any way to fix this?
Thanks
EDIT: I have also tried several compatibility modes and tried running in 256 colors and 640 x 480 resolution, but to no avail.

Have you tried selecting your display's native resolution? Using a resolution other than the display's native one on an LCD screen will result in a rather blurry picture.

using the native res(1024x600) the color appears fine, however i wanted to change this because playing worms at this res is very hard, especially where shopper and tower races are concerned. but if there is no fix then i will live with it.
Thanks
What resolution are you trying to run the game at now, then?
This is an inherent flaw of LCD technology; it's just not very good at scaling. The solution is to be careful what the so called pixel pitch (size of pixels) is when buying a new display. Too small and you'll need a magnifying glass to read text at the native resolution. Too big and the image won't seem very sharp because it'll be visibly divided into pixels. Despite this, I'd still say a modern LCD screen is a saner investment than any CRT, though. :p
Oh and as far as I know, you shouldn't need wkColorFix.dll with the latest update anymore.
Video Card's can perform the scaling instead of monitors these days. At least with Nvidia you can configure it so that the video card will scale low resolutions up to your native monitor resolution and usually does a superior job then what your monitor would do and does it with minimum/no impact on performance.

The only flaws of CRTs are portability and slight geometric distortion. Although LCDs have improved a lot in colour depth & refresh rate since their early days, CRTs still display colours more accurately & have higher contrast ratios. And even with LED backlighting, LCDs don't have the image intensity (important for immersion) that CRTs and plasmas (close to CRTs, but have brightness & sharpness issues) do.
OLEDs are a promising technology (a small one I saw once only had a slight brightness issue), but they aren't very durable ATM.
Oh, and BTW - video cards might be able to give you nice scaling on your PC, but if you want SD television broadcasts & DVDs to look good on your HD living room LCD, you'll either have to watch it in a small centered box, or buy an external scaler costing hundreds of dollars. Long live the Sony KD-34XBR960 (http://img238.exs.cx/img238/7458/wegafront0mi.jpg)!!! :o
