Is there any official no-cd patch for W:A? I have a Windows XP netbook that I want to install and play it on, but it doesnt have a drive. I was thinking about copying the entire cd onto the hard drive to install/play it. Is my only option to use a virtual cd-mount program to do this?

thanks for the link. In the meantime, I ended up going the virtual cd route and used a couple of the apps that they list on that site. Good to know that it should work fine!

I wonder if the W:A CDs have any useful copy protection.

WA used Securom when it released in 1999.
A very outdated version that could have been emulated by many applications for half a decade.

It has been removed altogether in one of the beta updates.
