Another beautiful merged thread containing two different questions without any relation at all. I hope people won't only concentrate on a single question, otherwise I had to create one more thread.

The first question might have been asked before, but I promise I searched the forum for at least ten minutes :p I'd like to know whether it's possible to listen to your own music in-game (without any additional programs such as "movie player")? My intention is to run the Worms 2 soundtracks while playing WA, as these are ten times greater than the actual WA soundtracks.

My second question is about the updated sprites for several weapons such as bazooka, mortar, sheep launcher etc. Is there a way to get the old ones back? The shading on those weapons looks so horribly off now, it makes my eyes focus on it each time I use them :D

You will also lose support for the alternate color scheme.

Until translating the Readme into German I never read that the Bazooka got a new launcher.

Regarding the first question, you can use FileOverride (http://worms.thecybershadow.net/wormkit/) to override the WA stream files without modifying your CD.

Why is this not an option for you?
I find it very convenient to use the media buttons on my keyboard to control Winamp from within the game.
If you have such a keyboard you might want to try that. If not, Winamp has it's on customizable global hotkeys which work effectively the same way.

The only thing I wished, was an in-game option to toggle WA's ambiance audio. That way I could switch between the original soundtrack and my own playlists during a game without having to remember to go to the options in between.

It is, in fact I do have a keyboard with these special keys and I use it while playing other games, like Worms Reloaded, for instance (to listen to Bjorn's original soundtracks for the Worms: Open Warfare themes). But first it's a bit annoying having to set up playlists before starting a game and second WA freezes for about ten seconds when I press the play key. I believe that's caused by the player, but I don't really know. It's displeasing anyway ;)

It's not because I don't like the WA tracks, they certainly sound pretty good. It's just the fact they're playing randomly thus I listen to the desert, cave or hell themes while playing in Manhattan or urban. It sort of ruins atmosphere. It's always been like that :-/
Bjorn's synth rock background music has also been one of the best in the whole series, right? :)

Surely a simple rename would be a better option?

Maybe try a WormKit module named wkAntiLag (http://stepsfiles.tk/wa/wk/wkAntiLag.dll) and see, if it'll help to avoid that lag. It will simply set a "High" priority for WA.exe.

The pause is probably related to how the audio application shares the audio device, it might lock the audio device for a brief moment before sharing it when you press "Play". W:A would probably freeze while the audio device is locked up...
