View Full Version : Useful glitch or not?

I know it's useful sometimes, but with "Homing Missile" at WxW or Shopper, when You shot in the water through the ground, then the missile is homing.

But I think it shouldn't happen with "Bazooka", so is it fixable for the future versions without affecting that glitch for "Homing Missile"?

This is the glitch you're referring to: http://worms2d.info/Bazooka_through_wall

It's unlikely to be fixed, since experienced players can and have used it to their advantage.

I see, thanks for explanation.

Which is a reason not to fix it? Because pros can abuse it to their advantage?

I mean... well... er... yea.

There are more glitches, which are very useful, funny and one more time useful, fixing them would also crash some game modes (like "Board Games" etc.).

"Bazooka through wall" is also used in some "Board Games" maps and that's, what I forgot about, while making this thread.

We intend to add options to enable/disable most glitches in the new scheme format.

Good idea.

BTW, will there be a way to convert old schemes to the new ones or there will be a need of making them all from scratch?

You will just be able to load them as usual.

My last question was unclear. I was wondering, if there'll be a way to save the old type schemes in a new format, so they'd be extended with new features.

Heh, each time I query anything here, you immediately present me the perfect solution :p

Yea, that sure is the best solution imo. However, do you also intend to turn the disallow option for the default schemes to on by default?

Why? Loading an old scheme won't prevent you from setting new options. (If you'll want to save the result, it'll have to be in the new format, of course.)However, do you also intend to turn the disallow option for the default schemes to on by default? No, that would be a very unpleasant surprise for anyone trying to use an old trick such as this one.

when that happens, please include that old glitch where rope-knocking from a certain evil height ended your turn without taking fall damage... i miss it :( (didn't find it in the worms2d.info list)

That would be the "Parachute failure at fall velocity threshold" one, which doesn't have an article.
