Dear best game devs ever, I love your work. I am a massive fan of the game, infact I would say it is my all time fav.

The reason I have join is becuase I have had some problems with xbox live worms 2 multi play.

When I play, I get randomly kicked from the game and disconnected from xbox live. This only happens with worms 2 (It may have been an issue with worms on as well, I can't recall).

I am not a network guru, but I do want to learn. So if you will help me troubleshoot this issue I would so greatful.

Firstly some info.

Router is F1pl241EGAU. I have updated the firmwear for this device. (thinking of getting a newer one to help fix)

My xbox is connected with a red cross over ethernet cable (thinking of getting blue cable? Will it help)

I have opened the main ports that they say to open

Im not sure if I use the special apps or the standard ports. thing is, every other xbox live game works fine, it's just this one. So I think it may be the game. Is the server good? Where is it located?

Anyway, it also tried to assign static ip, but it goes back to auto as I don;t know what to put for subnet mask etc in the same area.

I have nat enabled. I am unsure how to set dmz, or if I should, I use the router with pcs also (as you would expect)

Thanks guys. Please understand I am not a network guy, I have never really been able to get my head around it. So hust saying, open your ports , may not help. I really need a guide through this. If it turns out the game does not work well in Australia, I will have to move to uk or something.

You should be using the "Port Forwarding" page, not the "Special Applications" page. http://portforward.com will help you with configuring your particular model of router.

I'm going to adjust the setting as you ahve suggested

static ip assinged complete with DNS from isp

I had trouble with dmz, when enabled the xbox picks up another device with same ip, so it does not work.

Anyway I just need someone to be online so that I can test.

I was just changing my fort type, and I got disconnected from xbox live. Just in the game's menu! I'm starting to rage here. I think the game kicks me out of my gamer account for some reason. I'll change pic see if that helps?

team 17 help? My iphone game of worms one is also screwed, I got up to lvl 50 twice, only to find my saved game was corrupted and I was put back to lvl 20!

Are you sure you're only being disconnected from Xbox Live while playing Worms?
I mean, can you give me some examples of games you play where this doesn't happen?

You don't have to use the portforward.com software, choose no/skip if it asks about their software and just use their free online guides to help you.

Hi, I've had a pretty good run I think with online play vix xbox. However, playing WORMS 2 disconnects are much higher than anything I've experinced.

When I played frequently with online friends, I was always getting kicked while they didn't. Also, I can be constantly kicked. It is alot more than would be acceptable between any normal agreement. And I know it out of the ordinary as I have played alot. My gamer tag is Unconformed.

BF 1943 is a good example of a game where I don't suffer from disconnections.

This does sound like the same problem I have.

I only seem to get kicked from worms games, so no. I will test and see though.

I don;t get kicked from xblive without being in a team 17 game. bummer dudes
