I'm currently running a Fan Art comp for the Worms Facebook page: - http://www.facebook.com/WormsTeam17

All you have to do is post a Worms image that could be used as a profile picture. We will choose the best ones, put them up for a vote and then use the winning picture for a month on Facebook as our Worms profile. I will also sort out something else for the winner (tbd, but I have some Reloaded T-Shirts)

Closing date was going to be the end of this month, but I've decided to extend it by a month till the 31st March

What size is a profile picture?

Doesn't matter. You can always resize it.

What size is a profile picture?they appear at about 50x50 off the main profile page, but on their own, they can be pretty large (for avatars). about 250 wide and 300 tall.

but, as thurbo said, they DO resize automatically.

I am aware it can be resized, it's still good to know what size it will end up with so I can come up with something that will look good at that size.

If I do end up making something that is.

I got similar problems. School's putting pressure on me, it seems I can't finish a single picture I start anymore...

If you are struggling to come up with new artwork then why don't you submit some of your older artwork to the comp?

Edited my original post and extended the deadline till 31st March.

All right then, I think it's time I stop working on this and call it done. I can't say exactly how much time I've spent, but perhaps around 12 hours, maybe more. I kept working on it as long as it was fun and I saw what could be improved. Anything I decide to add or change now will only be small details and polish that won't make a lot of difference to the whole.

For anybody interested here (http://xinart.net/images/forumimages/thumbnail_sheet.jpg) are the thumbnail sketches I did before starting on the final image.
Some are terrible but that was the point; it was important to get all of the bad ideas out of the way first.

Hmm, it wasn't until I was far into the image that I realized the layout resembles Akuryou's image. Oh well, it wasn't intentional! It's just a very convenient setup for drawing Worms I guess. :)

Hmm, I never saw it as a nose before. I guess it could be seen that way. In any case, it's supposed to be a "Yay I'm so happy to see you" smile, because the sheep are blissfully unaware of their doom.

Yeah you'd think, but one of the worms stole it and spent the rest of the day shooting at stuff in the upper left corner of the image. :p
