My game doesn't have sound and in a match, right after I fire my first weapon, the game crashes.

I have already downloaded the directX from the sticky post TWICE.

EDIT: Before installing the directX, the game would freeze in a black screen.

I have that same problem!

I have the same problem! I just downloaded it. have updated directx...

If anyone knows how to fix it for a computer dummie like me, please post detailed instructions.

Really? Then why don't you help us all with your vast knowledge, oh great master.

Getting sick of telling people how to fix it i think i spent hours other day trying to help ppl on steam forums. Not even a big fan of the game lol but thats just the person i am.

Now which direct x did you try to use. Web installer version less than a meg and it downloads from net or the 90mb odd direct x redist June 2010?

If u use the web installer then u have picked the wrong one. Get the 90mb one and extract when finished downloading and find and run DXSETUP.

Then try it. (might need a reboot)

Also check ur WR files, using steams verify files tool as alot of people are missing files causing alot of issues.

Make sure all of your windows updates are up to date, that helped me.
