View Full Version : Bugged Weapon damage?

Hello,
I have recently installed the game and played a game.
Only to realize that all weapons do a total of 1 damage on each hit, which inevitably make that game quite long and boring.
I've screened through the forum, and a couple of topics, and only got to the solution that it might have been the files that was messed up. But apparently all
setting, in game and in the weapons-files are correct.
The weapons don't just do minimum damage, as e.g. firepunch only do full dmg at the target. I'd be happy if anyone could come with a solution to my awfully weak weapons.
Sincerely, Insanara

I had the same problem until I downloaded the DirectX redistributable, after that my sound and my damage worked correctly.
I guess it could be some math function that didn't work correctly in the other version of DirectX.

Thank you for the advise, but it didn't have an effect on my game :(

I have the same problem, and havenīt found any solution but I will try updating the directx and see if it changes anything.

Someone told me that externally editing schemes can cause all worms to do one damage, if you haven't modified anything it could be that some file got corrupted during download, I would suggest right clicking the game on your steam games list, going to properties, local files and click on "verify integrity of game cache". Or just plainly deleting all files and redownloading.

Go to:
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\worms reloaded
There is a TXT-file starting with XOM. Open it up.
There must be a file which is causing the trouble, as soon as you found that file in the list, delete it and make the game re-download it by verifying your game files or whatever (see comment above).

Oh neat, simply verifying the data fixed the issue... (I don't feel stupid now :/)
For the record it failed on 31 files...
Thank you for the help :)

Or just do the last step only and let Steam find the damaged file ;).
