I downloaded the directX and ran it and I still have no sound! Plus the game crashes after I fire my first missle. The missle almost hits the ground and then my game closes... no windows message about a crash or anything! Please fix it cause I just payed 20 dollars for this game and I'm pretty ****ed off right now that I can't even play it! :mad:

The 90mb directx redistributable? The webupdater version sucks and wont fix a thing, well never has with me plus the 90mb version makes sure all dx files are reinserted and not skipped.

Yeah look for DXSETUP and run that its somewhere amongst them cab files etc.

That will install directx properly unlike the web installer version.

I have exactly same issue as you. Is this becux my system is win7? My frens using vista doesnt seem to have the prob.

Could someone with Windows and Worms Reloaded actually verify I've put the right link in the sticky. Please PM me a suitable link (or links) for the most up-to-date version of DX that covers all versions of Windows (XP to 7).

I am on win 7 64bit and the link i posted in post 2 is the correct and most up to date link.

Direct people to use that but also direct them how to install as obviously they are getting confused when extracting dx and seeing all them files. Direct them to find and run DXSETUP.exe which will install directx. Make sure you tell them to avoid the crap directx web update installer. Doesnt help anyone.

And yes this version of directx covers all windows from xp to win 7 32 and 64bit versions.

I have downloaded your DirectX update twice. I stored it in my "downloads" folder. Is there something more I need to do? Seriously.:mad:

Er run (extract) directx (the 90mb odd file) to a new folder and then go to that new folder and find amongst the files the file DXSETUP and double click to run it and follow the prompts. Seriously you just downloaded it and left it?

Also it has been answered you just failed to see it was answered and couldnt follow the directions. So ease up.
