released in 1993 by Worms series creators Team 17, timeless platform game classic Superfrog has not only captured the hearts and minds of many an Amiga veteran with its witty and uniquely British sense of humor, daring portrayal of real life brands for a feeling of authenticity (the iconic appearance of the Lucozade bottle) and use of then-obscure Furry artist and Sabrina Online (http://www.sabrina-online.com/) creator Eric W. Schwartz's fantastic 2D animation, it also helped redefine the platform genre with its groundbreaking gameplay and undeniable charm. any gaming historian worth his or her salt knows the massive influence this creation has had on the gaming industry - it had finally taken the seemingly stale platformer genre to never before seen heights while also introducing a lovable protagonist with a "cool" and "hip" attitude, perfectly fit for a modern generation.

to this day countless gaming communities still view this title as platform gaming at its apex, and we've waited nearly two decades for the return of the Lean, Mean and Green Wonder. with such games as Street Fighter 2 HD, the recent Toki remake, Bionic Commando: Rearmed Rocket Knight and the recently announced Rayman Origins (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MvhwWXF-LfU), getting their spot in the gaming limelight I think it's time for another mind blowing, highly influential classic to get its well deserved revival. you would have to be hopping mad to pass up the chance. ribbit! :D:p:p

gamers these days only care about either
1. graphics and dumb action (see the way the once-witty and clever Fallout series was shamelessly turned into shallow, barely interacting snuff porn for people who believe that exploding heads are cool while losing all of its qualities as a timeless role playing franchise for the cultured gamer)
2. shallow casual gimmicks

but as I pointed out in the OP hardcore gaming is slowly reclaiming its throne my friend
