C'mon guys lets think of some really good ideas for some new worms games that could possible be released on the xbox, PS3 and maybe Wii?

Hm-hmm.. To start out I'd like to have a concept of Battle Islands, just a bit more unfolded. You know games like Star Wars Battlefront? There they've got planets, three for each team to start and then you may take over all others to eventually control the universe. Would be possible to do with Islands... Or maybe Worms Forts/Space Oddity 2 or anything.

Obviously, since it would take really a lot of time, you should be able to save the game. Having ressources playing a role for new weapons or worms could also be a cool idea, not necessary though.

As far as I remember, there's been a game called "Space Cowboys", using the same concept as well.

If there was a new worms game I think it would need to include some of these various things:
• The Game needs to be bought out onto the Xbox 360, Play station 3 and maybe the Wii.
• Keep the game in 2D.
• As good 2D graphics as team 17 can make them.
• All worms have 500 health at the start of the match instead of the usual 100 health this extends the game play which lets people play the game more.
• Worms should be able to rank up to level 30 and have 5 prestiges.
• Have an Online multiplayer rank and a campaign rank (two separate ranks) to vary the game.
• Rank up by getting experience points off online matches. Then once reached rank 30 instantly prestige.
• Get ranks up for your campaign rank by obviously doing campaign and single player challenges.
• Each time you prestige you unlock 1 of the ultra weapons and altogether there are 5 just like there are 5 prestiges.
• The following 5 ultra weapons should be:
• Prestige 1: Earthquake.
• Prestige 2: Holy Hand Grenade.
• Prestige 3: Beam strike (new) random golden beams of light hit random areas of land striking high amounts of damage to worms.
• Prestige 4: Mojo strike (new) a random mojo mask falls from the sky and hits the middle of the map out bursting a massive explosion, hitting the whole map. It does not do that high damage but strikes all worms apart from the worms team who used the mojo strike.
• Prestige 5: Armageddon - balls of rock and fire fall from the sky hitting and damaging anything in its way.


• In the game, ranking up online or on the campaign the worms should be able to unlock new weapons to have in their inventory, and from getting kills online they can unlock two upgrades for each weapon improving it. (This makes the game more interesting making them want to play online more and unlock the upgrades for their weapons for more destructive online game play!)

The following list shows some weapon names and the two upgrades they should have:

Bazooka:
1) Larger explosion, affecting more worms within range.
2) More accurate aiming.

Grenade:
1) More accurate aiming.
2) Sticks to enemy worms but bounces like normal on landscape.
Predator Missile:
1) Sharper Turning.
2) When exploded shrapnel shoots out from the explosion harming other close worms.


Cluster Grenade:
1) Released clusters do higher amount of damage.
2) An extra two clusters are released when the grenade explodes.
Banana Bomb:
1) The banana bomb becomes less bouncy for a more accurate strike on the enemy.
2) An extra banana is added to the group of bananas that are released after the main banana explodes.

Dynamite:
1) Increased explosion range to affect more people.
2) The Dynamite has a longer fuse before it explodes, giving you a longer time to run away.
Air strike:
1) An extra bomb is added onto the end of the air strike.
2) Air strike bombs have a larger explosion affecting other close worms.


Shotgun:
1) Has more accurate aiming to be able to shoot worms at a further distance.
2) You do not damage you self shooting a worm when you’re stood right next to them.
Uzi
1) Increased damage.
2) More accurate aiming.


Fire Punch:
1) The enemy you fire punch goes higher in the sky making the worm have fall damage.
2) Small flames off the punch add extra damage to the worm you hit.
Dragon Ball:
1) The dragon ball travels further, so you can hit enemies from further away.
2) The dragon ball is bigger doing more damage when it hits the worm.
Prod:
1) Prod has an increased push, prodding worms further away.
2) Even more powerful prod, pushing worms even further.



• There should be different game modes.
Such as the following:
1) A standard death match game. The team that survives wins.
The different death match choices should be the following:
1 vs. 1
2 vs. 2
3 player free for all
4 player free for all
2) Ninja rope race.
A long, wide map where 2 people so a
1 vs. 1 race with their ninja rope which has unlimited ammo to the end of the map. The worm that falls to their death is the loser and the first to the end of the map is the winner.
3) Fort.
The attacking team start at the bottom of the map and have to work there selves up and try and destroy the massive fort that the other team (the defenders) are trying to protect. The defenders start off on top of the fort and have supply crates etc. dropped off to help them defend.

I think Team17 should dig a bit more into the Worms Forts concept. It was absolutely awesome, and went quite well with the 3D gameplay.
Too bad the game was so rushed, there were issues with their editor or something like that if I remember correctly.

Well your first one sounds like the gameplay of "Wild Ones" (Search on facebook). I can't say I don't like it but I worry about huge unfairness it may causes.

I think Team17 should dig a bit more into the Worms Forts concept. It was absolutely awesome, and went quite well with the 3D gameplay.
Too bad the game was so rushed, there were issues with their editor or something like that if I remember correctly.

I want a better-working WF as well! It would be quite cool if Team17 redid it, but I guess it's quite unlikely.

:) Or at least a story at all, like in Worms 4 or Space Oddity. Doesn't have to be expanded or anything but I liked the FMVs which made me grin and also the fact it added some personality to your worms.

To be honest, if I want a great story I play other games, because either Worms and stories can't be combined or Team17 are just no good story writers :p

I seriously hope they make the games after Reloaded and Battle Islands stand out in the series a bit more. I personally really like the way Battle Islands apparently turned out, and I'm going to play it on both consoles (on my very own Wii and on my friend's PSP).

So in short, make the installments more unique.

Well, maybe because it isn't a "Worms" game, but rather a Bust-A-Move clone set in the Worms franchise.
And it's the best of that genre I've seen so far.

The only real negative thing is, that there are no network modes.

I don't think Worms needs a prestige system like Modern Warfare 2, LewisJFX.
