I heard there's a local co-op option for the xbox version...
Is this true, and if so, does it work for the PC version of the game? How?

Thank you kindly,

Dirk.

The way that Local Multiplayer was done on PC in all the previous worms games was that the players would take turns at the same keyboard, swapping seats. Hence, known as Hotseat mode.
There's a delay between the terms to allow the players to shift about.

This isn't Worms.

According to this site (http://www.co-optimus.com/game/1562/pc/alien-breed-impact.html), their forum (http://www.co-optimus.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=8144) and the Steam forum (http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1294668), the PC version of Alien Breed: Impact doesn't have local co-op. That's a bit strange considering the 360 version has local co-op and so does the original 1991 version.

Well its a little strange to plug in an extra keyboard and mouse so that two people can play from ONE computer at the same time, not that its impossible(Trine does it) but its just wrong in this type of game.

@DrMelon, don't feel stupid... that sort of thing happens, so don't worry about it. Thanks for trying to help, anyway!

@Wormetti, Thanks. Yes, that is strange, isn't it? On the Amiga (I'm dating myself now) that was one of the most fun parts of the game.

@team17, I sincere hope that you WILL implement local co-op for the PS3 release, and future updates for the Steam version.

Actually, since the game is specifically compatible with gamepads, it doesn't require an extra keyboard at all. As such it most certainly is NOT strange and very much NOT wrong. In fact, it would be logical to offer a local multiplayer option.
