i'm having a eyefinity-powered pc (eyefinity is a technique by AMD to span a game across three monitors - awsome!) and I figured a "tiny" issue with Alien Breed Impact.

Because there is no zooming option I'm unable to see any incoming enemies from up and down of the screen (damn, my english is crap, i know). Just take a look at the screenshots, i hope, you'll understand, what I mean.

It would be great to have an option to set the camerazoom.

I have tagged my message on to this thread as it is also related to widescreen support.

I would like to ask Team 17 on behalf of all Triplehead2go users and Eyefinity users to give us support at adjusting the FOV angle for in game use, either by a patch or allowing us to edit the changes ourselves.

Personally I use a triplehead2go digital unit with 3 x 22" monitors running at 5040 x 1050 resolution. I was very pleased to see that the game natively supported this on the first menus but dissapointed to see that once in game everything was vert - and impossible to play.

Matrox triplehead units have been around a long time now but with the emergence of ATI eyefinity there are a growing number of gamers adopting surround gaming and with Nvidia set to release a similar alternative soon it really is the future of gaming. I hope Team 17 can offer a solution or at least some guideance so we can play this great game in its full glory.

I am a member of the Widescreen Gaming Forum, www.widescreengamingforum.com (http://www.widescreengamingforum.com)who are dedicated to promoting surround gaming across the industry and sharing knowledge and support between widescreen players. You can also find the Widescreen Gaming group on steam.

Thanks in advance for any support you can give.

uk uk's screenshots look pretty cool :p but actual gameplay is really awful with such a narrow vetical FOV.
Here are comparison screenies of the same spot at various aspect ratios: http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19428&start=3
As you can see, the wider the screen, the less of your in-game surroundings you can see, and that really blows.

So, dear Team17...
Please fix the vertical FOV !
Please let the horizontal FOV adapt to the display width !
We've seen other UE3 games do it perfectly, so why not Alien Breed ? ;)

wow that's a weird behaviour - looks like a fix would benefit even regular 16:10 WS-monitors

AB2: Assault has the exact same problem. A wider screen means a lower vertical FOV, and the game is simply unplayable on triple displays. Lame. :(
