Many people here seem to know a lot about computers, and so l'd like some info about connecting a tv to a computer. Would it be as simple as plugging the HDMI in? l am aware that l would need a video card capable of 1920x1080 resolution if l had a 1080p tv.
Yes, but not many Nvidia GPU cards have a HDMI port (excluding the quadro etc. series). DVI will work just as good as HDMI but won't transmit audio so...

If your computer has an HDMI port then you should be able to connect the computer to the TV with that. Most TVs also have a VGA port, but this is obviously much lower resolution and won't handle audio (you'd need a separate cable from the audio out in the computer to the audio in on the telly)

K, thanks guys. I'm planning on getting a 32' screen, with minimum 3 hmdi ports, since my playstation 3, computer and digital cable will all be going to one screen. Why 32's you may ask, simple. Anything bigger is too much for my room. Any suggestions for screens? Price isn't an issue right now, but I'm not paying extra for a 3D screen.

I don't think so, I may be alone in this, but I feel that the 3D in Avatar was WAY too overrated.

OOoooh, I should get one of those tv's, I didn't even need glasses to see the 3D!
But unless you turn 3D off, your limited to select few seating arrangements for optimal viewing.
