Hi,

I recently bought Worms Armageddon and it worked fine on Windows Vista once I updated with the relevant patches etc. However, I have just updated to Windows 7 and when I installed the game again using the disc, it installed fine, but then when I try to play the game it says that Worms Armageddon has encountered and error and needs to close. The ERRORLOG.TXT file is attached. If anyone could hel with this then that would be great as I really love this game!

Could you try editing the shortcut and running W:A with the /nointro parameter?

Provided you have a shortcut to the WA.exe file on either your desktop or in your Start menu, right click on it, click on Properties, and add /nointro after the final " in the Target line under the Shortcut tab. OK the changes and try running the game via that shortcut.

Sorry for refreshing that old thread but i have the same problem like the author of the topic with the same error. I've got Worms Armageddon New Edition and OS : win7. The "/nointro" trick didn't help me. Anyone of you have that problem before and solve the problem?

Your solution is to get your hands on a legitimate copy of the game, one that comes on a disc. We can offer no help when it comes to pirate copies.

And the other pirated versions answer 8/10 questions, 9th being the "New Edition" and the 10th being the person who actually bought the game.

All it would do is encourage them to not mention the fact that there copy is "New Edition" thus making it more annoying to help people in general as you won't know if the problem is caused by them having the New Edition or not since they will not tell you because they know that if they did they would cease to receive support!

Ok, no problem, I've read enough now about it, and it seems legit ;)

I would buy the game, but NO f*cking store sell it here in south germany,
and shops like "amazon" dont have the game too... only UK imports etc.

He was banned because he was trying to give information on how to make a pirated copy of W:A work. That's why you can't PM him. Pirated copies of the game are not supported here. Do you have a legitimate copy of the game?

Yes I have, but I have a small latptop with no cd player. I installed the game with a portable cd player, but didn't manage to make the game run without the cd in.

I actually found a way by creating a disk image and mounting in, I hope it's legit for you :)

Yeah that's fine, so long as you keep the disc in your possession. Obviously there's no way such can be enforced but... still.
