Can you post the Errorlog.txt file here - attach it to your post.

Look at the directory listing behind, especially at the file that is selected (look at the bottom of the Window) - the fact that it is not in a CD drive. Sounds like a pirate to me.

taxi3: Buy the game from https://secure.team17.com and then we'll help you - in fact, it is likely the problem will go away by itself when you reinstall it from the disc. It's extremely cheap, and comes with other Worms games.
