i have full control of the game options teams and stuff like that no bugs no color probs until i start a new game or training then it crashes to desktop without saying anything
i am using vista ultimate and tried to install the new patch released nothing helps me.

I've got the same problem and I checked my cd and it is perfect condition(wold be strange if not, bought it 3 days ago :)).

I run a XP MC 2005 SP3.

What could be the problem?

I'm Win7 user and I'm having same problem.

I am having the same problem in windows vista service pack 1
I can create and edit teams (but there is no fanfare selection) and when i go to start a match, mission, or training it just cuts out and goes back to desktop. I've tried running in different compatability modes, running as admin, etc. I installed the latest patch. I will attach error log


Additional Q: is there any version of worms that works with intel chipset? i don't know if i have intel video card, but if i do (and how do i check, btw?) is there any known version of worms, preferably the 2D kind, that i can play on windows vista? Thanks again

The error log you attached is generated by version 3.6.28.0.

If your game crashes to the desktop without an error message, it usually indicates a problem with your CD.
