View Full Version : Cyber help changing name on WN.. pweeez

Well back in the day I remember you could add ð type letters to your name by editing your win.ini file.
But I can't seem to find it on my PC, I have looked in C:\Windows, I found 3 files with WIN in it but non of them are right. Can ya help m8?:p

1 of em is

n others are other nonsense :( help

Using Vista or 7? Look in C:\Documents and Settings\YourName\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Windo ws\win.ini .

From the looks of it, in Win7 that would be C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Windo ws\win.ini

That's an assumption given that I have no folders inside the VirtualStore folder on this PC.

"Documents and Settings" is an alias for "Users", but yes, that would be the canonical path

ok im a bit lost i am using Vista

i couldnt find C:\Documents and Settings\

but i could find "Documents and Settings" is an alias for "Users"
(C:\Users\USERNAME\)

but after that i am lost there is no AppData or Local or anything like that :(
heres a few of whats n there Contacts/Desktop/Documents/Downloads etc... and i ried looking in documents but nothn :(

Enable the ability to "view hidden files".
