I used to be obsessed with the original worms demo and worms 2 for PC. I found a worms demo download on the apple page but it doesn't work in anything but classic mode and I can't get it to work at all on my relatively new mac. Does anyone have any ideas for me on how I can play worms?

The only options for Worms on Mac are:

The original Worms game - this won't run on modern macs since it requires OS9 or older to run

Worms 3D, published by Feral: http://www.feralinteractive.com/game/worms3d - might still just work on OSX

Worms Blast: http://www.feralinteractive.com/game/wormsblast - not really a worms game!


The only other options are to boot your Mac into Windows, using either Bootcamp, Parallels or VMWare and play Worms Armageddon or Worms 4 that way.

According to that big, blue X symbol on the Feral website, both Worms 3D and Worms Blast should run in OSX.

Plus, there's an Universal Patch for Worms 3D, allowing native Intel Mac support.
