Will we ever see a level editor for an XBLA Worms title. When you consider that this was possible on an archaic machine like the Amiga, storage considerations aside, it seems perfectly feasible to achieve. The option to add your own customised levels really was a massive incentive to keep playing Worms games, I spent more time creating custom levels and playing them than, those provided by the game itself. It also provided some great laughs for my brother, friends and I.

No, they won't.

Never say never; there's nothing been said about a Level editor though, we'll just have to wait to see whats coming for DLC.

Even if so, there's plenty room for a level editor in Battle Islands. :)

No point to getting the game if there is no map editor.

Ive gotta honestly say that either Team17 dont have a big enough development or just dont think when they make these worm games for consoles.

I can think of a ton of features that would be good:
-Replys that can be saved
-customized map maker (with online sharing)
-A BETTER CAMPAIGN LIKE WORMS ARMAGEDDON 1 (PSX)
-BRING BACK THE AQUA SHEEP
-Y can you make the building block things bigger??

It seems like Team17 is still trying to catch up with the psx days.....sad sad sad

Thanks for the feedback guys Ill try to implement as many improvements as possible in the next version, although quicksave/quickload would be a pain to implement so I might leave that for now unless there is great demand for it.

Also has anyone tried the level editor yet?

To be honest Ive never made a platform game or a level editor in ActionScript 3 before so I reckon it turned out well so far

Whatcha mean? There IS a level editor.

Don't get me wrong... but I sorta don't believe this game's ever getting more DLC than the Battle Pack...

...unless they release some DLC for Reloaded, that might be developed for the consoles as well, then :p

A level editor on any of the consoles is a no go, the simple reason being that Teamsters or the platform holders (MS/Sony) have no control over the output. As the game is marketed as a family game we cannot allow griefers access to such an outlet. It's a shame, because customisation has always been the defining aspect of the Worms games.

I understand that Battle Islands has a level editor, but any landscapes created in it can only be used in private games.

Band of Bugs XBLA has a level editor and you can share levels with online players (not that anyone plays it online anymore). It even supports the camera and it's still rated for everyone.

I'd be more interested in a mission editor.

Band Of Bugs was officially the FIRST time an XBLA game had a level editor. And even then, it's very very... basic, in comparison to Worms' level editors. What I mean is that in BoB, visually, you can only edit a few dozen... err, "pixels". You really can't draw much with that. But with Worms, well...
