Just use the WebSnooper (http://snoop.worms2d.info/)?

WebSnooper mostly works but whatever is making it resize to fill the screen can cause issues (making the game list 1 line big in horizontal view). Also switching from horiz / vertical can stop the chat window from scrolling and there are no scroll bars available.

Other than that it serves the perpose. If i ever get round to installing the iPhone SDK I might have a look at making an app though.

Edit: nevermind, forgot the SDK doesn't work on windows...

oh didn't know about this..

I tried the websnoop on my ipod touch and i seem to not be able to post messages? after i type the message I have 2 options that seems like the obvious choice for posting the message.. "done" and "go" both of those don't post my message though. if there was a "send" button on the websnooper page i think i'd be able to post messages

haha, iPhones, you buy one, and then you start messing around with all its gimmicks, or even request gimmicks (like this one) because you refuse to merely use it as a cellphone, so you keep wanting all this applications to keep you ocuppied on things so you can have the delusion of having spent money on something you actually USE as opposed to a braging rights fashion accesory used to talk to others.

Dude, iPhones are cool, you don't need to feel productive with it, downloading spreadsheets, cooking recipes or cosmos maps. Just accept you're a main stream snob head.

"oh man this iPhone of mine is allowing me to access snooper from a distance, how handy"

Not really.

I love smartphones, I have a N95 and plan to buy a N900 when it comes out (600Mhz processo and Linux distro running on it).
BUT what Apple does with it's iPhones is exploitings people the same way ringtone companies do. On top of that Apple is the opposite of the open-source mindset, and the bullcrap around the C64 emulator is only the matest example of that, I mean, they ACTUALLY pulled it because some1 managed to access the C64 BASIC software.

Smartphones rule, and at the same time, iPhones suck balls :)

ps: that N900 has a full keyboard on top of the touch-screen
pps: no I don't have any affiliation with Nokia, nor do I have stock in them ,)

I'm considering one, seeing as I just lost my N97. I'm a Symbian fanboy, and have been for years, but the N900 looks to be the closest/next best thing to an actual multi-layered operating system for the device. Figuratively speaking, of course.

P.s. As far as I'm concerned, an iPhone won't even be classes as a "smart-phone" until it can multi-task properly

I'm very anti-apple in general, the levels of annoyance with registering the phone etc are horrendous and the oversignts made in the software unforgivable.

That said, I got an iPhone for one reason and one reason only. It was free, and the phone I actually wanted was £150, even on a £35 contract. So so you can have the delusion of having spent money on something you actually USE doesn't realy stand. Also, some of the applications and features are genuinly usefull, though you do have to weed them out of all the gimmicky crap that is released as well, but thats the same with everything.

Before the iPhone I've had symbian and windows, the iPhone OS is definatly the easiest to use, though I do miss the how easy it was to make apps for my older phones. That said, with the iPhone SDK its easy enough to do if you have a mac PC... I'm just not willing to buy one.

Well, my contribution's goal is to stop beta devs from wasting precious time on something like this and use that time to do things that would be truly useful

Then again, a "submit" button on the WebSnooper would be a good compromise and simple as anything to implement.

yakuza, if your goal is to try and convince devs not to add a submit button to websnoop because there are more important things for them to do, you should just say that instead of bashing the product and its users who cant use it.

Cybershadow, on behalf of everyone that has an iphone/touch will you please add a submit button to websnooper? thanks for your consideration.

admins should close this thread, the solution for the issue has been stated, and it has become an offtopic flame fest
