Please be more specific (OS 32/64 bit, Graphics Card, etc). And the the Windows Vista - Windows 7 Compatibility fix already has a thread to post your questions: http://forum.team17.co.uk/showthread.php?p=696583

Same problem here.

Win XP SP3
AMD X2 5200+, 4GB RAM DDR2
ATI 4870 with Catalyst 9.9

Tried different resolutions, compatibiliy modes and running with 256 colours, even the WWP Colour Fix in another post, but none of that works.

Hi every body...

I exactly have the same problem: Clear menus, but the in-game, screen shows black bacgrounds. I only see worms (with strange colors) although I've well seen the 'birthday-cake'...

________
OS: Vista SP2
Graf'X: Integrated Intel Chipset (laptop) with Downgraded drivers (for Xp), which solved the 'non-launching' issue
Game: WWP SP1 + Compatibilty Fix from Levo
________

Is there any solution to this problem?

For all XP Users, may be you should try this:

- go to the directory where you installed WWP (e.g. C:\Program Files\Team17)
- right klick on wwp.exe
- click on "Details" (or whatever it is called in English)
- go to "Compatibillity"
- mark following options:
-- "operate with 256 colors"
-- "execute in 640x480"
-- "disable visual designs"

it might work then.

I don't know what it's called in English, but I hope you understood what I meant.

I have found atleast one lead for this problem now

If i where you all i would allso test to restart your computer, and the wery first activity you ever do in that login session would be to start up WWP, for me it work everytime i do this first! but if i start some other games before WWP it never ever work i suppose,
the conclusion of that must be that if its not any game its some process that i allways start without logicaly can't understand it will infact collide with Worms, but i have no idea what it could be thou

I only have one suspect, and that would be Perfect Disc and its autodefragmentation that allways start after some hours into the login session..

Im now 100 % sure that this issue is Mozilla Firefox related, for you who have firefox and WWP and WinXP try and see what happend if you close down all open internet pages before starting the game...
