The topic says it all. I quote Wiz on what he has written about the league on the mainpage of the site:

"Hello everyone, you will be proud to hear there is a new league! The system may be different to what most of you are used to, but trust me.. it's a cool system. We've copied the system of the old classic league CL2K, where you get +2 points for a win and -1 point for a loss. You will all begin in Division 2. The top 24 players of Division 2 will be promoted in to Division 1 at the end of the season. Seasons last 1 month and all settings will be reset each season, to give everyone a chance of taking the title. All the information on the league can be found in the 'League Information' forum under the Help and Support category. You only need to register one account which combines both forum and league accounts. Season 1 will begin on September 1st. Until then it's like a warming period to let players and clans get registered, and look over for any bugs in the league. The forums are all set to get posting. The community has, the way I see it, fallen abit apart the last couple of years. Every league that has been made has been attacked (hacked), we`ve lost a lot of the more experienced players (change of generation), and the community is now splitted into a couple of semi-active leagues (TUS, LW, NNNL). I believe worms need one major league that`s active and where it is possible to keep bonding friendship and dicussion on the forums on a daily basis. I also hope we will get back the clanners on a decent level. It`s hard to find clanners nowadays, and if the clans should dissapear, what do we have left as a community? Anyway, have a look at the site yourselves, and have fun :D

Lol at semi-active. www.TUS-wa.com is the most active league now w/o any "semi" prefixes. It does provide all necessary things wormers need: active singles and clan league, Normal league, Normal Squad league, TTRR challenges(NOT forum based stuff) It's the deal of old schoolers who don't even try to admit new people and new trends.


It`s hard to find clanners nowadays, and if the clans should dissapear, what do we have left as a community?

Have you even tried to do that? I havent seen you at AG for a long time.

Then why are you trying to split it into more parts? I am not accusing anyone with anything, don't get me wrong here, but in my point of view, this is another league that thinks it can defeat all the others and be the one and only but you must know that this is never possible.

well, what a shame come back and code a league after let xtc die.. i dnt understand how these "pro old skoll stff yoy" alwed this from veg.. he was the **** and now is admin of that new league. for me this is just stupid since veg is in the stff. now no one remeber what that unlgy mofo did? shame for evryone that apllaud that ****.
and bard, dude u know that i like u, and we have been mates for long, but u are not saind ght truth, just watch how many clanners are played this season.

I myself (as well as most of my clanmates) don't like the looks and the navigation etc. The site's way too complicated.
That's just my personal opinion, so don't blame us for creating something "better". :)

The reason of my disapprovement is the simple contrary in your aims. You all say that the community is split and it needs to be united again, but instead of contacting MonkeyIsland, creating your design and putting TUS into it all together, you create one more site.

Maybe, or surely I am partial towards TUS, because I am a good friend of MonkeyIsland, but I could say other sites as examples too. This is my only problem.

And again, don't get me wrong, I am not saying that your site is **** and stuff, this is my opinion.

You simple could've speak with Monkey and help him solving those problems instead of trying to splitt the community even more.
If you gave him some suggestions personally he'd listed that's for sure. Probably the first and last league admin, who's open minded, not arrogant and without any other obvious complexes.

Nothing special i guess. A lots of features which were requested can be observed now at the site.

Providing many features doesn't mean the navigation has to be crap.
There's a hell lot of mostly minor things why I just don't like TUS. Face it.

Anyway, let's not go off-topic here. This thread isn't named "WHY TUS IS SO AWSUM". ;)

@Darkz: i didnt want to say that the design is optimal. I wanted to say the only one thing: if u want to suggest smth - do that. Just contact admin. He will do his best. Mocking around and badmouthing is the only thing which a lot of you guys can do.

In my view, the league is semi-active. It is semi-active compared to all previous leagues on WA. That is not TUS fault though, it`s a combination of a splitted community and the game itself, WA, not exactly getting any younger for each year that goes :) About the old schoolers, to be honest, how many of them are there left?

I admit I didn`t check how active the clan league section at TUS was before writing that. It was more a general opinion of many wormers, including me. I haven`t been so active recently (past months) because of lack of time, but I still join AG daily.

You`re being very unfair to Veg here! He did a hell of a job with XTC, more then you probably can imagine, working hard all the way which made it a very decent league for a long time. The league died out in the end, but what could Veg do, change the league design for the 3rd or 4th time, stay in AG and advertise about the league all day long? I think what killed the league was the constant attacks on the league and thereby the league being down for many months. I hope that this/these assholes will keep out from WormsArena, though I don`t really believe in it.

Forums are easely hacked because the code is accessible to anyone, so anyone can see its vulnerabilities. And the more popular the forum, the more hacks are available just ready to be deployed anywhere they want.

If you can code a site like TUS or any other league site out there, why not code your own forum? I did it, and OK it's a lot of work, but again, if you can code a complicated site for a league, you can code a forum.
And I can tell you, its a litte bit harder to hack a site where you don't have the source code, and where you cant just deploy a readily made hack to it.

In my opinion having 2 leagues isnt a problem.. It proves the game is still active, and many people are still playing it.

Remember the old times.. Werent WACL and CL2K running at the same time ? or maybe it was WL and CL2K..?

I like TUS, and I also like wA. You talking about splitting the community, but it always been like this. A part of WN enjoy playing shoppa and WXW, and another part prefer ropers, bng or elite.

It's a good news to see that Veg is working for WormsArena (if this information is true, I never heard about it before you said it), I dont understand why that make so angry Beer? Or maybe because you are just a drama queen ? wA seems to have a nice admin team now, which is cool !
