Hi there,
it's sad that 2 players can't join the online game in the same console. Why Team 17 have not consider this function?

Well, for a start, it's far too easy for the two teams to just start ganging up on opponents, considering they're friends already! Plus, there's nothing to stop one person from just using two teams at once. Plus plus, its a turn-based game; just share turns!

No more excuses, that feature needs to be in the next Worms game or added in a patch.

I agree, features like that, as well as making it easier to get friends into the same game without going private is what I was hoping for. Of course, some people will use it to gang up on players but, that's a possibility with every online game so, that's no reason not to have it.

I could see allowing local multiplayer if, say, it's in a friends/invite game. If you know the people you're playing with then they can give you grielf for ganging up on them later on, or you can just play it straight.

The other reason is that it costs money to add things like that. Not a lot, but they have a smaller budget than a lot of online games that do have two-players-playing-on-one-console.

The sheer majority of online games don't have 1/2 to 2/3 of all players of the match in the same room as you when doing that.

Wait, this game doesn't have hot-seat multiplayer? Are you kidding me? Isn't that the whole point of Worms? Are you telling me Team17 have made a multiplayer-focussed game and left out the multiplayer mode?

Seriously?

We're talking about two people playing on the same console in an online match against others.

Well then people like oya should stop using the term 'local multiplayer'.

In W:A I can play with 5 teams on my PC and against one team somewhere else in the world.

Why should I share my turns with someone else when I most likely want to destroy them?

I'd like to see up to 3 players able to play online from one console.
