View Full Version : Team 17, I Salute You!
Yes I do!
I love this game! I can't get over how solid and polished the controls are and how polished the game is. The explosions feel much more responsive and bigger. The sound effects are AWSOME! I love how big they sound. Very 2009 sound quality :) I like how many of the songs are remixes of familiar songs and some are original! Overall all songs are much better than Lynne's songs in my ears! Well done new song guy (didnt catch the name!) :)
The landscape styles are great and some of them reminds me of Worms 2's styles wich is sweet!
The game is so good that even my girlfriend likes it and she's never liked worms! ;)
Thank you Team17! Im enjoying this game so much it hurts :D

Well, it's highly polished, but still has bugs.
However, we all know Team 17 loves us and will patch the game as necessary.
Indeed, but what game doesn't have some bugs in the first version? :)

While I agree that they did a great job and look forward to the patch, does anyone remember the good old days before there were patches for games on consoles? You couldn't ship a game with bugs like they do today. Geez, I feel old now.

The key word is some. This game has a LOT.
I think the people who complain alot about these bugs are really ungrateful. yes, bugs are annoying, but there is no need to flame team17 about them. They have bugtested this game alot before it came out and there are always bugs that arn't detected in testing that are detected in the wild.
The best we can do to keep our dignity is to report the bugs and leave it at that,

Because of the bug that happens when you disconnect the hard drive and it wipes your save data, I've been unable to play single player at all. I've tried deleting it and redownloading it, and it still won't save my profile. I've gotten past mission twenty twice now. When I try to play online, it won't ever let me use my custom team because it doesn't recognize it as my primary team. You really think this game was well-tested? Take a look at the list of bugs. Better yet, I'll sell you a loaf of bread that looks just fine, but when you get home, you'll see that it's full of holes with a sprinkling of maggots. I'm sure you'd be happy with that, too, right?

In my opnion....this game isnt a bad worms game.....but it isnt as good as the original yet.
But, the sound effects of the game are awesome....I think this is the worms game with the best sound effects....and the bg music is perfect (i like the remixes of the original WA bgsongs)

The content is superb, the audio, the graphics, the themes, the schemes. All good.
I mean, this game has bugs, a lot of bugs, but do you actually know what this game encompasses?
It combines two totally different types of games. One of them uses a high degree of real-time physics in all gameplay. The other is turn-based strategy. Based from their first release on the arcade, I say this is a huge improvement.
I think a game like this deserves a little slack.

Ungrateful? I paid for this game. They didn't give it to me. They obviously didn't test it at all. What makes you so sure they tested the game 'alot'? The first night it came out the bugs were apparent. The first game I tried to play with a friend didn't work, and from there the bugs have come out in droves. If it wasn't for Microsoft's 'no refund' policy this game would have been refunded many times over, I'm sure of it. Its not Superman 64 bad but I can say this is easily the buggiest game I've ever bought. Ever. As a paying customer I have the right to voice my opinion about a product. If a patch is not released this week I will never give another american dollar to team17. bank on it.
Yes you do indeed. But there are too many people here who just complain that "oh it is so terrible!!111!!!" like it is the end of the world. Bugs sucks, but the best thing to do is to report them ONCE and then wait for the patch! All this flaming of Team17 doesn't make things happen faster.

I know what you mean and it does sometimes feel that the option to release patches results in compromises being considered more acceptable. But, all you can really do about it is either accept it or think twice about parting with your money next time.

You couldn't ship a game with bugs like they do today. Geez, I feel old now.yeah. oh how I wish we could go back to the days where companies had to test in-house for months and years to hope they caught every bug. the days when, if there WAS a bug, no one could fix it without a total recall of all the game copies. the great, golden days of yore when we got to twiddle our thumbs waiting for all 10 games to come out that year because the development cycle was so long and it cost so much to get people to create, debug and test the game before launch.
I certainly wouldn't want to play a game with a few bugs when I could go back to waiting another year for them to develop the game more.

Why should the customers care about the company's state of finances? They're not a charity. I think it's quite reasonable to expect, at the very least, games that are free of critical bugs. As always there's an appropriate response and an in-appropriate response, but I don't think it's entirely unfair for people to be annoyed.
I don't actually even have a 360, so I've no idea how over-reacting people are.

You're right, no one should really want to play a game they paid money for. That's just silly.

(worms forts)
We are planning to release a patch in the coming weeks, mostly to fix the issue with Sudden Death which people have raised. Since we have to patch a number of versions (Euro, Russian, Czech, Trymedia etc) and then test it, it might be a couple of weeks. I will post more news when I have it.

It's not out till it's out :p
The question is who plays worms forts these days? ;)

That's beside the point (though perhaps more people would've if it hadn't been bugged?), promises are all very well but people aren't going to stop complaining until something actually appears.
That is just immature when you know a patch is on the way.

The WFUS patch was promised and never appeared. I'm cynical. Thus I don't get my hopes up until something more tangible than a promise appears.
What more can you expect?

What more can you expect?
Obviously, the complaints can be split into two categories: the ones who can't even play their game because they didn't know about the problem with getting their saves erased, and everyone else. For the former group, myself included therein, they should be able to complain as much and as loudly as they like. I have had this game for, what, three weeks now? I am completely unable to play it. It will delete all my single player progress as soon as I'm done. When I go online, I'm usually unable to pick my custom worm team, instead saddled with the same annoying premade team every time. I think that the people suffering the same problem as I am expect to be able to play the game they purchased. I'm very near to calling Microsoft's support line and very firmly demanding a refund. This is absolutely, completely unacceptable.
I understand that most of the people, even on this forum, are not suffering from this bug, but only the regular glitches. Highly annoying, but at least manageable enough to be able to play. You, and some others who are praising support for Team17, need to understand that some of us cannot play at all. That is where the rage comes from.
Oh.. I didn't know it was that bad! Sucks not to be able to save and stuff :-/

What makes me sad is that nobody points out the good things about the game, they just pick it apart because of the bugs.
Although, i'll be raging, if when I get internet soon if the delete save error isn't fixed.
If a patch is not released this week I will never give another american dollar to team17. bank on it.
Then your missing out on quite a lot. Once the bugs are fixed the game will be as smooth as butter and great to play, just wait for the patch for heavens sake.
He can't! He must have a rushed patch or no patch at all appearently :S
