I was very surprised and disappointed to learn that the Multilayer option on iPhone worms is not Bluetooth or Wi-Fi multiplayer. You have to take turns on the same iPhone.

I hope to God they are planning to release an update for the game using the 3.0 SDK ability to have local multiplayer via Bluetooth, so my friends and I can enjoy some fun, convenient worms battles.

I hope this feedback finds it's way to the developers.

There was a post somewhere, it might even have been in the description on the iTunes store that they are planning multiplayer for a future release to take full advantage of the recent iPhone OS 3.0 improvements, and that will include some form of "online" (Bluetooth/WiFi) multiplayer system

Is there an projected time this update will come out? I just bought this game, assuming there would be multi-player capability, and am severely disappointed.

Does Apple have a date when this update is scheduled?

The update for iPhone Worms (which includes local Bluetooth multiplayer) is currently in QA. Should be out later in the year.
