Hi all, I would first like to say that its great to see Worms on the iphone, im a long term fan of the game.

I do however have some control issues with the iphone, my biggest being the double tap your worm to backflip. Im now tired of jumping into mines/off clifs instead of performing the back flip I wanted. Is it not possible to put a backflip button at the top of the screen?

The only other problem I have is with the ninja rope, I find the controls very hard to get a good swing going to get the worm high enough to get on to ledges and so forth, is there anything that can be done to either increase the sensitivity or a different way of controlling it?

Cheers

100% agree

something else i want to add:

If you targeting something with your (i.e.) shotgun which is out of the screen, you can scroll to the left or right to see your target, but if you scroll back to your worm then and try to adjust the weapon it always flips a little bit, cause you can't tap 100% accurately on the crosshair. Maybe you could change it, so that it ignores your new "fingerlocation" and just recognize your fingermovement (=targetadjustment).

I hope this is understandable for you:D

An other wish (besides Multiplayer and bugfixing) is a more advanced singleplayer mode with more options and also some new options in the general game settings, i.e. language, zoom, controls...

I think the zoom and controls are fine, except forthe ninja rope. A virtualy D-pad could fix that potentially, maybe we could just use that to control the worms instead of touching the sides of the screens, although I have no problem with the current controls.

Controls are definatly the weak point on this version. Walking towards the edge of the screen puts the worm in the input area so its easy to jump of the edge, the rope controls are too far apart so you can waste a whole go trying to do even basic worms 1 style swings, and worms dont seem keep their momentum, letting go of the rope on the far right of a swing make your worm fall left most of the time.

Performance is poor on the standard 3G making input a problem, espessially when the turn time is set short. Probably worth adding options like removing background image / debris etc like WA has.

It's still reasonably good overall, but its a port of the xbox live version with none of the bugs from that version fixed. Which seems a little... odd. My favourite being that if a worm is damaged while firing, they can continue to fire rather than losing their turn!

I'm enjoying it overall and for £3 it's clearly a bargain compared to other mobile versions, but it's basically just the deathmatch mode at the moment and could realy do with more features. Multiplayer would be an obvious good start.

Definitely a great game, and worthy of the name Worms. However, the performance issues are really serious - even on the 3GS I am experiencing some lag. The zoom truly isn't an issue, but I do agree about the ninja rope - it needs to be tweaked some.

Most important, though, is the performance. I'd play the game a lot more if it ran smoothly, which I'm sure it can, especially on the 3GS.

I am completely unsure if I've done this foruming correctly, but my buddy and I have had some thoughts on the iPhone version of Worms.

I've read a lot of the comments posted on the app store, and lord oh lord those folks don't pay attention to the How To Play section ... THESE CONTROLS ARE GREAT. I mean, not preaching here, but the functionality is there, especially with the most recent release we just got.

The suggestions we've got:

1) Multiplayer Functionality - I know it is planned for future releases, but this is important stuff: WiFi and Bluetooth support, notifications for when it is your turn to play (no limit on return fire as long as you haven't opened the game), ability to change game style (weapons, time, etc) in all Multiplayer modes
2) Game Saves - after the introduction of WiFi and Bluetooth support, it would be helpful if there could be multiple saved games for retrieval, including many individual and multiplayer games
3) Weapons - where are all the good ones?! Let's get two or three pages of weapons to scroll through ... maybe even a couple iPhone specific weapons??
4) Challenges - maybe I could earn more than languages and grave stones for winning challenges, like more weapons, game styles, yada yada
5) Worm Languages - I remember getting into the old Progam folder and putting in my own Worms recordings, maybe we could build that in, although unnecessary, could be interesting

You're doing just fine with foruming :)

The languages thing would be quite good with the iPhone: you could even add functionality to make them in-game, considering the iPhone has a microphone and everything.

At the moment, my one suggestion would be that a game scheme editor / creator would be very nice. This was always quite a fun feature to add to the already huge replayability of Worms.

I like the game, even though I sucked at it for a while at the start, only complaints is the ninja rope- controls kinda suck :(

Is there a reason why nobody is asking for an option to disable the time for a game ? I am the only worms gamers to chill out with the ninja rope for hours ? Seriously, I'm that kind of gamer who hates being stressed by a time limit. Could you just add a little option that let's you roam the map endlessly before an attack ?
