hi,

i've got a problem each time i'm switching programs with ALT+TAB. When i go out of wwp (I'm under XP SP2) and then try to go back to wwp, the screen is completely black.. i can still hear sounds, but i cannot move.

Even if i don't want to use alt+tab, from time to times, there's automatic updates from one of my programs, or a msn chat windows that popup and take me out of wwp.

Is there any fix for this ? or solution ? or a windowed mode ?

Thanks for your answer,

Charly

You should not attempt to use Alt + Tab in Worms World Party, as it doesn't support it.

You can minimise if you are on the main menu screen by clicking at the very bottom.

You should disable the "steal focus" or "always on top" options of the troublesome programs.

This is due to a limitation in the way WWP was designed. It could be fixed nowadays, but WWP isn't being updated. However, Worms Armageddon is, and in the next version this will be fixed (and you can minimise anywhere at the moment) and soon there will be a patch to allow WWP users to play WA.

Hi,

Finally i installed Worms Armageddon, and it's far more interesting/playable/not buggy than wwp with all those good updates ;=)

Thx for the advice,

Bye

Kellykel: Because it's a 10 year old game. Can you name any other 10 year old games that are supported by the original developers (W:A doesn't count, it's supported by two members of the community who work as volunteers)?

Not really but I'm sure there is one.

And one made by such a small company as Team17 and published by such a small company as Titus?

Iirc, there's a registry tweak for Windows XP that changes the behavior of new windows, making them no longer steal focus when the new window is created. Vista and newer have the changed behavior by default.
