So bought this like a week ago. Start playing online today and so far a big disappointment. First time I tried to do a player match and it froze my xbox 360 when it loaded the map. Tried ranked and did 8 ranked games. You can't even pick the map. 7/8 times it has done a tall map on the construction theme. I don't mind a tall map every now and then..but nearly every game?? Anyone else getting this problem?

Although I'm going to have to assume it is just poor luck, not one of the games have I gone first. :( But then again maybe there is some problem with the randomization since I'm seeing the same maps over and over too.

Aside from that worm placement doesn't seem up to par. Huge tall maps and almost always a couple groups of worms right next to each other. Also backflips controls don't work well.

This is the only game where I have to worry everytime I try to backflip whether or not my worm might instead jump forward and kill/hurt itself instead. Every other worms game double tapping results in backflip 100% of the time, but in this one at least 5% of the time I find the game doesn't detect the double tap. I've tried changing the rate of the double tap but it doesn't seem to make much difference.

Ranked maps are picked automatically. I like it because it's a perfect solution for people who liked to play on only open, or only closed maps, and also choose specifically bad map codes in Worms XBLA.

Who goes first is based on who has the lowest trueskill rating. Trueskill rating is normally wins divided by played.

Emergency teleport is there for a reason, and if the game deems your placement is bad, it will re-randomize the placement. Although, the emergency teleport doesn't always work as you want it to.

You will have to press X faster if you want to backflip.

I fail to see how it is a solution to people who pick the same map types as the computer has picked the same map type 7 of 8 times (tall/vertical landscape with construction theme). If it is supposed to be random the generator is bugged.

Also the second part is not true or if it is supposed to be it also does not work correctly. My first game I did not go first against someone who had good w/l records. Also virtually guaranteed all of the following 7 people did not have a lower trueskill rank than me. 5 or 6 of the games have been against people with good W/L records and at least my first few games even though they were wins my trueskill rank was low because I hadn't played many games.

And it doesn't matter how fast you double click X, it still does not always do a backflip. Like 95% of the time it does. But that 5% it doesn't usually results in a lost or damaged worm. This has not been a problem in any other worms game (I have every worms game ever made except worms blast and some of the mobile phone releases)

No, I mean map codes. Some people actually typed in the same code, for every ranked match they hosted. That code generated a map in which the enemy worms would have really bad positioning, ensuing a win for the host every time.

Well you just got unlucky, and if you are good at the rope, then you can get from bottom to top of a vertical map pretty easily.

There should be a worm team customized option for ranked that lets you choose a preferred landscape like you do for fort. If the players in a match have different preferences, the game would choose one of them randomly.
