http://deathball.net/notpron/

It's the hardest puzzle on the internet. It is not for people who just want to point and click and answer a few questions. You have to read source code, do Google searches, edit images, and manipulate audio. And that's just within the first 40 levels (out of 140).

Anyways, I'm stuck on level 38. I've gotten stuck before, but this time I'm REALLY stuck. The official help forum has given out all the hints that they can. I am now desperate enough to ask for external help.

If you think you've got the necessary amount of brainpower, or have already gotten up to level 38, PM me if you're interesting in helping (so the answer isn't spoiled for anyone else).

P.S. If you know the answer, don't tell me it. Just give me some good hints.

P.P.S. If you want to play the game, Internet Explorer is recommended if you want the background music to work properly.

It's very easy. Just read the page title, do what it says, figure out the username and password, and punch them into the box.

If you get really stuck later on, here's the help forum link:

P.S. Don't use walkthroughs. It's not fun, and you might get caught and prevented from getting certificated when you finish it.

Man, now you got me on to this game again. Up to number 8 so far, though I think I got a little bit further last time I tried it. Much fun and makes you think in interesting ways to solve the puzzles. If you have the patience for this kind of thinking game I recommend it! (And it requires a LOT of patience :p)

An incredibly pathetic amount of money ($1 or something?) for a devious, entertaining and well crafted puzzle game? For the purpose of making it secure? Does not seem like such a bad deal to me.

I doubt I will even get that far anyway, but that amount of money is tiny, and this is better than many puzzle games that are, y'know, actually sold for money in game stores.

Absolutely. There is nothing else in existence like Notpron.

P.S. I completely approve of the 1 euro fee, because this game is absolutely magnificent, and deserves to be protected from loathsome cheaters.

Err... how does the 1 euro protect anyone from anything exactly?

I stopped playing super mario brothers singleplayer because when I found out people in the internet were cheating with speedruns and **** I couldn't take it anymore.

I wish future mario releases cost thousands of dollars and are only sold to those with clean internet history, hacker criminals should be banned from playing the game otherwise **** you

The author gets money, quite simply.

Not much though, so he doesn't look greedy.

They can, it's just online people are naturally scared from paid things, and those that aren't help him make a profit, so it's win-win.

IMO, it's not that they're scared. It's that they're too lazy to bother with sending the money. They'd rather just copy and paste a URL.

Anyways, is there anybody that is willing to help me? You don't have to be at level 38. Just PM me, and I'll give you the level's clues.
