View Full Version : create bootable ISO dvd?

recently i downloaded some software via torrent, and burned the ISO to a DVD via Nero Express.

I tried to boot from it, but failed. I thought, maybe my BIOS is at fault. I checked, and it was set to boot from CD/DVD before the hard disk.

Hmm. Maybe it's my CD/DVD reader. I popped in a Windows XP installation disc and it booted up fine.

I'm pretty confused, and I need some help. I've wasted a couple of DVDs (which don't come cheap here) and I need to get this done by next week. [/fake deadline]

So.. any help is appreciated.

Well, first and foremost, what is it that you want to boot? After all, you might not be able to boot it.

It's an OS iso. that's all I can reveal.

I read some articles on the internet about Nero not being able to burn bootable ISOs, is this true?

It's the image. Download Windows 7 from a better torrent.

Well i've downloaded two different versions of the OS and both failed.

And who said anything about Win7?

Well, you'd reveal it if it was Linux, since most Linux distros are free.

Anyway, you should know by now that pirated stuff hardly ever works.

This forum has strict anti-piracy rules. Particularly for Team17 games, but for all copyrighted works.
