Sounds like a waste of time writing a whole game to make the water prettier. In any case, there's nothing T17 can do in 2D on PC now, is there? Anything new will be told off basically for not being W:A and anything else will just be monstrously bloated.

Surely it's better to have the massive pool of online opponents that W:A's low system requirements and high penetration offer?

Maybe there is a way...Make it BETTER than armaggedon.I know,I know.Cybershadow and whats-his-name...but wait!they release a patch of worms armaggedon,and this makes the game worse than armaggedon.But with it being better than armaggedon in the first place,it could have high review scores.

Once again, you misunderstood Andrews post. He was not saying it could not be made better at all. He was saying that there isn't much Team 17 can do to 2D on PC, which is true, and he also said that anything new would be told off for not being WA. He never mentioned that a new 2D PC game could not be better than WA.

The real question here, is this: What can be done to make it better than WA?

Yes, let's make it objectively better and make only changes that nobody will object to. Both of those things are possible.

I don't think the game needs any more weapons. I'm not sure it could take any more, and if you're doing all-new graphics then even redrawing the current ones would be a big job. The slightest change to the rope and half the online 'community' will get angry and refuse to switch. Some people will whine about the style of the new graphics and others just won't see the point paying £20 for a graphics improvement.

Well,remove some weapons.Maybe 10 or 20.Then in it's place,half that number.Then,whatever the half ended up being,Put new weapons of that number,Some customation improvments,bug fixes.Physics improvements...

I really wish they would make a new Worms 2D game for PC, I just hate Worms 3D :(. New weapons, better graphics, ability to customise your worms etc.... would be good. I'm sure older computers would be able to handle the game, it's only 2D and if they can't, give the ability to lower the graphics.
