As I was playing warhawk today it kinda reminded me of worms, and thought that if team17 were to make a game on ps3 it would be great to have the type of graphics that they used for warhawk, the main part that reminded me was when I fall in the water and die :),

It would be good if it did happen, it was all 3d and looking very HD, but inventing new and simple things to the gameplay example could be if you pick up a shuvvel u can start digging into the ground to make a bunker, then adding all those favourites from armageddon, suppose online play would be the best, 32 people killing each other insainly, could also have different mods, such as POW(prisoners of war), u die u get put in prison, there is a hatch which requires 2 other worms, u jump on one another to get out once u get out of prison u can rescue your team mates by pressing a button, but no dout it would be guarded :), hehe, there was a mod like that on q3, but no-one plays it :(, anyway just my thoughts on how good it wud be :D

1: There's no way Team17 would be able to get a budget big enough to even be able to have graphics that'll reach the 360's potential, let alone the PS3's.
2: Digging tools were removed from the 3D worms games because of camera angle issues.
3: Real time worms has been discussed to death. The answer is always 'it's not a good idea'.

Why do you say that? It is the publisher that would fund the game!

No, not really. Unless Team17 sold their souls to EA that is.

As far as I am aware (and as I work here, I guess my understanding of it is probably better than most) the publisher pays us to make the game, so there is theoretically no limit to the budget we could have to make a game.

Although we do only have around 80 staff members and I don't think we've ever stuck all 80 on a single project (certainly not since I joined anyway).

I would think that beer is the limiting factor for the publisher's budget in the case of Team17.

How... how is that even relevant to the content of this thread? Really?

It's a good thing I buy these things in bulk.
