Hey I'm new to the forums, and couldn't find any programming or game development threads. And I know that Team17 can't give away there code for various reasons but I think that just helping programmers out would be a cool thread. So just thought I'd say that and could any C++ gmae programmers reply so I can have someone to talk to about C++ and Game Development. I know I can go to other C++ websites and I have and am still. But I think it would be nice to hear from Team17 themself since I know what kind of work you have done. So please reply.

I use C#.NET and the XNA framework for game programming. It's easy to use, powerful, modern, and it allows game creation for PC, Xbox360, and the Zune. :D

I code in C++, but it's much too complicated and out of scope for the games I make.

I write in C++, but not games. :p

Actually, I've never really tried to code games, only simple tools and other useless stuff.

Ditto, except I do it for the Wii.

I have some experience with C++ - I did some mod coding with the Half-Life source code, but nothing major. No, I can't make you a game.

I code in C++: whether I accomplish anything is up for debate. I've tried making games with it, and while it's a beautifully powerful language, it doesn't seem worth the time taken to make games with.

That's why I rather like JavaScript - it's easy to use, just right for making simple 2D browser games, and thus really easy to quickly link to friends.

On the down side, it suffers from IE, which Flash doesn't.
