I decided to try an online game against a mate for wormd world party, having played offline for quite a while.

First of all I needed a patch, that went fine.

Then I put in a username and password after connecting to wormnet2, the only option, but it gave me an error about something not existing and "var open" etc.

Am I wasting my time trying to play this game online? Or is there something I am not doing correctly?

A forum search reveals that nobody has come to ask for help about that particular error before. Coming up are some generic solutions for you to try, but I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you. :(

Have you patched the game with the update intended for discs of your region? Are you using a legitimate copy of the game and is the CD not scratched or otherwise damaged?

Are your Windows time, date, timezone, daylight savings and other regional settings set correctly?

Have you tried uninstalling the game completely, reapplying the patch and trying WormNet out again?

And lastly, what's your mate's and your excuse for not playing Worms Armageddon instead? WWP's online community isn't quite dead yet and it shouldn't be too hard to get a game going if you're online at the right time, but it's nothing compared to how lively WA has been lately. :p

is the game allowed in your firewall?

I think the problem was one of the programs i downloaded, either TeamEd or the annimated graves thing (which i didn't even use).
After uninstalling and running ccleaner then installing again it all works fine.
