this pic is a free hand drawing. I used no help lines. sorry if it's a bit blurry, but my scanner is broken, so I had to photgraph it.

Its okay.

I won't give criticism, tho.

I'm looking forward to some feedback.

It looks like a sock.

The tail should taper off, and the eyes should be more shaped like candy corn.

whoops. well, at least it looks a little bit like a coffee mug. what version looks better, the freehand version, or the normal?

I, personaly prefer the first version. the second one is OK.

Second one is just as about as good as the first one.

In fact, i think its slightly worser.

I quite like the freehand one.

The freehand one looks less stiff. So, I think it's better than the other one.

I think the main problem with the first one was the pen and the expression combining to make a very funky-looking worm. the style isn't bad, just the result of that drawing.

the second style/images look fine as well.

It really depends on your style, sometimes the head is half the length of the body, and sometimes bigger. Keep experimenting. Just make sure the body looks like it can support the head.
