As you can probably tell, I wanted to make a thread where people posted incredibly stupid and suicidal things to do something rather ordinary...and THEN post a safe way to do the latter.

The way I would go about making this safer would be to first of all plug the power cord into a powerstrip, and then into an extension cord; the hotdog and forks would be placed outside on a plate on a hard concrete surface. The extension cord would then be connected to an outlet inside the house, near a window so that the hotdog could be observed at long range; then I would turn on the switch, cook the dog, and then turn it off and UNPLUG it. Then, I would eat my beautiful hotdog!

DO NOT DO ANY OF THE THINGS IN THIS THREAD UNLESS YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN THAT YOU WILL NOT BE HARMED

If I said "cooking hotdogs with microwave radiation" that would sound silly and dangerous, too. Cook it with what you like -- it's only the rather daft choice of equipment that makes this dangerous. And frankly this is perfectly safe if you know what you're doing -- which you probably don't so DON'T TRY.

Actually, it's frankfurter. Frankenfurter was played by Tim Curry.

I think many Garry's Mod videos show extremely funny ways to pull off simple tasks. Also, most contain explosions. Some of the Rube Goldbergs they make are deliciously interesting.
