As I'm sure you are aware, the Spore Creature Creator is coming out officially on June 17th. Of course, some of us have found a leaked version, which we're not really at liberty to expose - however, it is a leak of the free version, therefore spreading it wouldn't do EA or Maxis any harm. If it were the paid version, I'm sure most of us have the morals not to steal it (cough).

Anyway; post your creatures, scenarios, spore comics, and other stuff in this here thread!

Of course, when Spore comes out (on the 5th of September) we'll be able to have our planets, our vehicles, cities, you name it!

If you've never seen spore before: watch the one at the bottom called "Spore at GDC 05"...it's 2 or so years old but it still gives you a great idea of what Spore is about. It's 30 minutes long so watch out.
And I should let you all know that Xspore.com is probably the best of the spore sites out there, it always finds out about the best news and videos first and always investigates the stories and news before posting them so you can be sure they'll never post false rumors or info.

It's pretty plain, and that's because the game has a limit on the number of parts you can use.

Oh, and here's some tips:
1: With the lizard eyes, if you're making just one, you can rotate it to get a cross-pupil. Like on the hydra above.
2: With the spiked mouthes, if you're making just one, you can rotate it to get twice the number of spikes for the price of one. It works especially well on the fourth spiked mouth, as the spikes are able to lock into a position where the 6 spikes are all equally spaced apart.
3: If you deny a creature legs, then you're able to have it levitating by making the creatures hands the lowest part of the body:

So far, I've only had it for 24 hours, yet I've made 28, mostly-very-detailed creatures. That's a bit too much, so I'm not posting them all.

Mouse wheel.
Highlight a bit of vertebre, then use the mouse wheel to make that section bigger or smaller.

Check this monster out: It has a giant reach, when you go to the window with the number of skills and things, try out the punch anim. It reaches out into the most distant trees. (MULTI JOINTS FTW)

AK, I made the underground thing by making a really long body, dragging it as far as I could to the bottom corner, the corner opposite the arrow on the ground, and added the first kind of foot there. It gliched up and placed the foot above the body instead of on the ground. It's repeatable.

My biggest problem with that editor from what I've seen is that the wings just seem like decorations, like massive boils sticking out of their back.
Which is weird, seeing as how wings are limbs and all. Maybe that's changed. Hope so.

Either move all images out of the creatures folder, or rename the creatures folder to something else. Then run the game. Then close the game and move the images / rename the folder back to what they should be.
The only problem is that they'll only show up in the Everything section of the Sporepedia and not the My Creatures section.

The reason why some creatures aren't showing up is because it "hides" your online creatures (the ones where you signed in) so you can't use them until the Spore servers officially go online. As for the sharing, that requires sign-in, and it won't let you until the 17th.

This is one of my favourite; half because of its spike-legs (the back ones move like they should, the front don't so much) and half because that's not a nose, it's something a whole lot more terrifying.

This one shows that you don't have to limit your creature to just one body, this one has two of completely different shape linked by a small fuse. I'd like to see what it'll be like if I can give it intelligence.

Oh, and Pigbuster, they aren't wings, just so you know. They only allow the creature to glide a bit, that's all. They're not supposed to be the flapping kind.

I've just done that. The full game seems to be installing now. Let's just hope it works.

Yeah, I thought so too. Mostly, it's because the body is too small for five legs and such (I only started increasing body size at this point, so I couldn't make it big enough without being much too big compared to the previous one), but also because of the big crystal spines that are that Asanit's feature (which is again a problem with size; the minimum size limit on those things were too big.

No idea, but now that you mention, make my Dark Raymanoid spit... you'll see I managed to do something odd there... ;) (in case you don't know, you can click on the ability icons when previewing the creatures. They'll do what the icons say)

This Asanit takes advantage of both psychic floating and purple venom clouds to look pretty damn impressive! Try it out, if you have time. (It reminds me all too much of a Psychic Pokemon)

--Creatures not uploading when clicking the share button?
I had that uploading issue too with the trial version. Adding a description and tags seemed to work for me.
(Though, in the full version now everything works just fine.)

--Does the CC crash right after start-up? It's conflict with EADM.

Speaking of which, I plan on screenshotting any creature I find in my game made by a forumer (including myself), and explaining what happened to them in my universe; whether that be being domesticated, becoming eradicated because I thought it was too fugly for my game, be moved to a lifeless planet for those of you with multiple races in a species, or get stepped on, in the case of the SMALLES THING EVER. (if I do come across that, I plan on plopping a ginormous creature somewhere in their habitat, just for the laughs)
Speaking of tank-destroying ginormous creatures, I hope nobody minds that my two-headed towering monstrosity might appear in their game. And for reference, my regular spiky Asanit is roughly about as long as of one of it's toes. Really. I'll post a screenshot comparison tomorrow, if I remember.

Well, other people's tribes or cities are downloaded to your universe too, y'know. But that's as close as you can get; and for good reason too. Simultaneous multiplayer would be WAAY too hard to do in a game like this, and as for technolgy, think about it: once you would have the technology to travel through universes, what else would there be to learn?

Not other UFOs. LANDING on other planets. And if the other player knows where the portal is...

Anyways, It's kinda complex, unless you control just a bunch of explorers, so I guess the planet transfer for one player at a time should work :p

Actually, thought comes to mind: what are your plans for what your singleplayer creature will roughly be like, and what style of city-stage buildings and vehicles have you got in mind?

For me, I plan on making my creatures primary colour yellow, secondary colour black (probably striped), and a humaniod shape except with the body bending at the front instead of the back. I might add in four arms or three hands or something along with that. For buildings, I'll probably go with a style that's half-gothic, half-spherical. Ground vehicles should be mechs with curved surfaces: start with a near-spherical midsection, add thin long legs at the back and cannon-arms connected at the middle but stretching out to the front. Air vehicles... something resembling a ship anchor, but with a much thicker midsection. Sea vehicles should be like Titanic-shaped ships, only with a lot more spherical rooms on the deck.
That's not a complete plan, I don't intend on following that to the word, but that's just a rough guideline for what I hope to do.

However, there are still plenty of civilisations that tries to attack you, so don't be too dissapointed!

Okay, new plan; I'm gonna really bug off the Raymanoids so that they send entire fleets after me, at which point I will promptly intercept and destroy all ships before they can reach my planet, followed by depositing a whole bunch of the biggest, most bad-assed creatures I could find.

1: Go into My Documents/My Spore Creations/Creatures
2: Find the three creatures not showing up and move them outside the Creatures folder.
3: Run the Creature Creator, and exit it.
4: Put the three creatures back in the Creature folder.
5: Run the Creature Creator again. This time they'll be in the Everything section of the Sporepedia instead of My Creations.

If you want to put them back in the My Creations section:
6: Edit the three creatures. You only have to make slight edits, such as moving a joint one little space up. Save the creatures, then delete the ones that aren't in the My Creations section.
7: Also note that, despite being on the server, they won't have a Shared tag on them. If you want to have them with the Shared tag, then delete the ones on the server via spore.com, and share the ones that you just remade.

I had that very same problem when I switched from the leaked version (offline account) to the official trial version (online account) and again when I first ran the full version.

If you delete a create online it won't get deleted in CC and vice versa.
I think they should have implemented an auto-synchronizing feature.

If you buy the full version in-store it actually comes on a hybrid Mac/Windows CD.

Went to eu.spore.com/myspore page, logged in, pressed my Kescgarea and found a "Remove" button.

My creature for the full game? Well I made it ages ago, so I don't know why I haven't yet posted it here. They're called the "Rhyken". Of the three types of civilisation you can have (which are Military, Diplomatic and Religous, for those who don't know) I think mine will be military. The Rhyken are centred mostly arround technology and research, and their buildings will have a white metal futuristic look about them (think aperture science style).
I have had this race in my head since spore was first announced and ive already planned how alot of their society will work and what their tools and vehicles will be like. Alot of their ground vehicles will actually be powered armour suits (I will do this by making a mech walker vehicle in the shape of the Rhyken's body to mkae it look like a suit when it is actually a vehicle) and since I haven't managed to think up good names for my vehicles/suits, I think i'll name them after Pokemon or something.
There is alot more to say about them, but I don't want to write it all down here.

PS: Aku your race is really cool.
