That worm's eyes are insanely freaky. But it's a rather informative tutorial. Good job.

I never knew that I could draw worms by doing that. I just make worms using paths in Photoshop. But still, the tutorial is great!:)

I don't see any images. Is this my internet screwing up or didn't you post any?

I guess that means my internet's screwy. Never mind...
I prefer using the pen tool (for everything) and stroke for outlines.

Great tutorial, but the eyes suit a 3D made worm instead of a cartoon one.
The eyes don't look right to me.

well the end result is completely wrong and grotesque, but the tutorial is very good. should give a nice primer for the effects work.
perhaps I should post one of how to do other effects. :-/
tip: if you don't look at the last 3 pictures you will stay mentally sane :)

It's the eyes and the teeth that aren't right. Good tut though.

Why are people saying "None of the features look right at all, but good job anyway!" when they've made it clear that the job done isn't a good'n at all?
The body shape and eyebrows are good. If the people following it just modify the features to make them look less freaky, it's fine.
Moreover, the mouth is fine before teeth
I don't know sh*t about photoshop, bu certainly didn't like the final result

I'm saving that pic... It's so grotesque, it's wonderful!

It's amazing just how much effort was put into what ultimately manages to look even worse than most of the MSPaint jobs we tend to see on the forum.

Using stroke and liquify for drawing? No. Those tools are used to achieve effects, not to create the outlines and shapes for a drawing. That's just an overly complicated way of doing it and the result is fugly.
And no this is not a good tutorial for learning how to use tools to make effects. A good tutorial on learning how to use tools to make effects would focus on using said tools for creating an effect, instead of trying to teach you how to create all of a drawing with them.

No .meh .
what the fudge?!
so u wunt a real tutorial (even though it doesnt include worms)
At first glance it looks a bit bizarre because it seems that the amount of detail is not consistant. The eyes have too much of it while the body is lacking.
I think the most notable thing about it is that it doesn't have proper eyes, it just has HUMONGOUS pupils.

If I'm honest, I think that mouth looks worse than the eyes.
I think it would have looked a lot better without the teethy grin.

So... a "how to draw a Worm" tutorial without the worm. Clever. Good luck with that.
I think what people out there may want is a "How to draw a Worm that doesn't look like it's on a chuffing Drug Trip", and in that respect there are plenty of really good tutorials out there already. Thanks for playing.
The eyes would look a lot better on a Tokyopop-published comic book character. (extras just for randomness. leave them out if you want)
The worm is either too tan or my browser is screwed up, and the eye is, yeah, large.
And the border thickness isnt consistent (someone said that, right?).
Overall: MSPaint might be better.
So, with this, the myth that using a more powerful program like Photoshop produces better results is totally busted (as stated in S2K's "Saying "I used MSPaint" isn't an excuse for bad art" thread by someone).
