Hi
I buyed Worms World Party yesterday
and i have some issues..with the language

Horror! my native language Swedish seem to have been voice-dubbed and layed on the worms..and even my green-yellow country flag (acording to the Pakistanians ) is showing up as my team logotype in quick singleplayer matches by deafult (can it be fixed?)
and honstley if you understood it..Swedish voices sounds unhealthy crappy in this situations, i think i wanna prefer some Irish accents rather, im unsure but if you have the same game version as i have..when creating your own team in settings you can choose between 345466 different languages to be dubbed-spoken ingame with thath team, i offcorse unchecked Swedish for my new team

And now my team accually talked clean when the match started..but offcorse the computer opponent must talk Swedish anyway just to make me bail!
In deathmatch settings, seems like you cant' choose your opponents at all, or am i out biking here?
cause the only alternative you get is to fight..3 teams? "Breakfast" "Teamster" and "Blues N Reds" everytime(atleast for me) and you get them auto by just choosing the team you wanna play self
but it have to be some way to make these teams ore whatever thei now are? to speek english just like my team??..but this 3 arses above arent even listed as teams outside in game settings, i honstley understand nothing about the deathmatch setting window, explain please, and in quck singelplayer mach there is no team settings at all :o

(Yes i installed the game with the English lang alternative..and the ingame menus atleast got in English by doing so, its just the computer-player who still vomits on Swedish)

Where did you buy your copy of the game?

There is no way to change the language in the game.
It depends on the language setting of your Windows operating system, but you'll change everything including text then.

You could create an CD image and edit it by copying over the .wav files from the English speechbank to the Swedish one. You won't hear Swedish anymore then.

But he shouldn't have Swedish if his language is set to English.

EDIT: Ignore me, I was under the impression you were actually English judging by your excellent use of language.

Good idea there

Hm..i have accually found two Swedish 'speech' folders when exploring the WWP CD,
one folder contains the wav:s spelled in big letters, other folder contains same files but in small letters :o
I only however find one English speech folder, with big letters, is thath mean i shall ignore the swedish small leter folder alone and hope it doesnt intercept later?

Another note is thath i have no brain so you must guide me how to perform this wav-switching, im not 100 % how i understand how to do it myself
my theory however of what you mean in reality..is thath i must first klick explore the whole cd folder, then just copy thath whole folder to my harddrive..then delete and replace the swedish content in speech folder
then burn thath folder on disc after

The question becomes what program can create a 'clone' of files lieing on the harddrive??
i can't use the obvious Nero's copy cd function , thath is an image right?..but it create image of a allready exsting cd inside a cd-drive, not the case here, could use Clone CD trial perhaps, but i dont know the functions
what shall i use?, or did you think in complete different area than my rambling above? (thath would be me) :p

Uh, in deathmatch, I don't think you can change the language, but in hotseat multiplayer i think (IIRC) you can use edited computer teams with different voice banks.

It doesn't matter whether the wav in the folders files are in capitals or not
What are those 2 folder's names? They must be different obviously, or the game couldn't handle them both.

Are you sure that both speechbanks are really the same or that they might be different? Maybe one standard Swedish and a comical Swedish...

Almost every CD burning tool should be able to create images.
In Nero simply switch your device to "Image Recorder" (the pull-down menu on top) and the make a disk copy.

In Clone CD use the "Read to Image File" (the first option with the goggles), select your source drive and then select "Protected Game". On the file name screen you may also want to create a CUE sheet for compatibility with all image drive tools later.

Then use a tool like UltraISO or MagicISO to edit your CD image.
It's quite straight-forward: On the Explorer-like menu go to the speechbank folder you want to exchange, right-click it and extract it. (Also extract the folder you want to substitute it with, in your case English, I suppose.)
Then in the ..\User\Speech folder right-click again and "Add directory" (dragging & dropping from your Windows-Explorer into the file explorer of those tools should work too) and over-write. Finally save the image.

You can then use a virtual CD drive tool like Daemon Tools to mount your disk image as a virtual CD drive and install and run the game from there.
Clone CD and Alcohol 120% both come with a virtual drive too.

You now also have the advantage that you don't need the original CD in a real drive anymore, which saves your disk and drive and is also much faster. If you have enough HDD space this is a neat alternative.

Wow, Mr. Smarty-Pants!
Guess what we where discussing in all previous posts?

Thanks alot for the tour, I hade no idea thath this type of cd-images existed

and i have now succesfully got ridd of the swearword - Swedish, ingame
just as you philosophised, so the creps now talks in English

I wonder thou..if i could be able to edit some further with the content on the WWP CD, cause in quick match it's still Swedish flagg on 'Player 1' thou, and the ingame 'hillarious' text-dropp messages from above upon the violence in the matches..are still in Swedish text

Dead-comments like "Clam slutade på havets botten" sound directed towards a 2 or 94 years old punk-ass when its writen on Swedish as you..can see
Its strange if the main-menus can be in English as thei are for me now..but the match-text can't at the same time
is this detail locked on my computer-language as you pointed against before?

if not what file represent the ingame lang-text?

It's hard-coded into the exe, you can hex-edit though

It depends if the WWP exe is compressed or not, I can't remember. I'll check later then if it isn't provide instructions.
