im new to online play and am completely baffled as to why 99% of users are just playing these ninja rope games. i want to play classic worms, the way it came as a default - random terrains, limited weapon set, vast offense/defense strategies...

is anyone hosting these matches, because i cant seem to find them!?

cheers,
Pasta

If you see a game called "normal" or "elite", they are default.

More specifically, you'll want to keep your eyes open for all the schemes listed under Default here:

http://worms2d.info/Schemes

Elite and Team17 are, I would say, the most popular in and suitable for league games, but there's also a rather large community called NNN that focuses almost exclusively on the Intermediate scheme. There are also a few other options in case you don't mind simplifying [BnG & Fort] or complicating [WFW & CTF] things slightly.

What works best is finding yourself a group of like-minded individuals, organising games within it and slowly spreading outwards. Or you could leave that to the folks at NNN and just join the fun:

Or just host classic schemes yourself - people will join.
