Used to not work for me on laptop - but recently redownloaded it somewhere, prob a different version, and works now. Try looking for '1.0.0.3'.

1. click "start"
2. select "run"
3. type in "regedit"
4. on XP, goto "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Team17SoftwareLTD\Worms Armaggedon" or do a search for "OfflineRopeKnocking" if you can't find it.
5. Edit the key "PATH" so that it points to where your W:A game is.

Follow what EthoCryptC mentioned. TeamED looks for the default directory. If it is not in the registry, it will just crash and boom.

Also, ensure the REQUIRED FILES are there (see above) - they are vital for the program to work.

If all fails, try running the program in the WA root folder (note unbacked suggestion)

Okay from the beginning.

First, simple click on your 'Start' Button and click on 'Run'.
Second, once the little dialog box comes up, type "regedit" without the quotations ofcourse.

Thirdly, this will bring up a box with little folders that 'branch' out on the left side, this is what you call the 'Windows Registry' and it's really the brain of the computer. Be careful - damage in here can screw you.

Double click on 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER' which will open even more folders. Navigate to: 'Software' , then to 'Team17SoftwareLTD' then 'Worms Armageddon' and finally click on 'Options'.

Now, in the right side of this program, you'll see plenty of little lines. Look for 'OfflineRopeKnocking' and WTF. [rastaudu don't read this, confusion galore] The registry keys for WA are DWord Values, so when you edit them, instead of a path it lets you change the Value/Binary data. :\

The easiest solution:
Do a clean re-installation of WA and all your registry keys should be fixed.
(Backup the ..\user folder before to keep all your custom stuff.)

EthoCryptC, why do you still have that edited FPTH key? Fiddler v4.01 doesn't need that anymore. :)

Etho.

Alright alright, I made a new account. Can't have people calling me that. ;)

I'm a bit out of date... Fiddler v4.01 you say?

Yes.

No more dual-installations and no need for hex-editing the path registry key.
