When new Worms PC?:(

Well, spadge did say they were making one, but thats all we've heard. Nothings been announced yet.

It doesn't mention Worms for PC, so they must be taking their time with it.

Mostly by the time they announce a game they've been working 1-2 years on it ;)

I think there is, but WA must have taken 2 years to complete, so they are most likely taking there time with this. But wait, in the link to the post where he announced it, he said that it would be announced soon. This was posted in June 2007, so, i would have expected something to be announced now.

i don't need to post evidence yakuza. I was just saying that it must have taken at least 2 years to complete the game. I'm guessing here.

Worms 2 came out in Summer of '97. Worms Armageddon came out in January '99. That means it would've taken, at the least, one year and four months of work, taking into account the game going gold and sent to the manufacurers to be pressed.

That's when they already had an engine, though. Witht he new PC one they will probably start from scratch or port the WOW/WOW2 engine.

They're not likely to port the engine. Considering how much the "hardcore" fans have been complaining about the physics in Worms Open Warfare and Worms XBLA (although the DS version of WOW2 is perfect, largely because it's built on the Worms 2 engine) it wouldn't do them any good to say, "Yeah, we'll slap that over."

Next year marks the tenth anniversary of Worms Armageddon coming out, and I'd put good money on Team 17 doing something for that.

Random guess, but I think he meant that a Worms game should be coming out for PC anytime now. Which would be a rather unfounded statement, but I really can't think of anything else he might have meant with that.

unfortunaly no new worms for PC this year.....i hope they make one next year(i dont care about 3d or 2d i like both).

im preety sure....just believe me......i mean they cant make a whole game in months,they need at leat 1 year to make a game and they werent working on a PC worms game last year.....and spadge said they will take a break of the worms series(apart of handled versions)

I think it's a little foolish to say that there won't be one just because we haven't heard anything. I'm not, y'know, suggesting that there definitely will be one or anything like that - I don't know any more than the rest of us - I just think it's a safe bet to assume that another 2D Worms game will likely surface on the PC, be it something brand-spanking new or an anniversary edition of WA or some such thing.

i want to belive a new pc worms game will be reased this year but....spadge said that they arent working in it....and i dont think spadge is a lier.
A aniversary edition of WA isnt a new game its just a new version ;)

Fair enough, then. But even still, I wouldn't be surprised if something came out next year...

I wish they'd do another 2D worms for the PC. I really really do.
