Hey, could someone make the backgrounds of these two avs transparent?

In GIMP go to Layer --> Transparency --> Add Alpha Channel. Then you can erase or cut the bits you want to be transparent.

Also, I indexed them. The first picture is under 300 bytes, the second under 2k, and no loss in quality.

I tried searching around for like twenty minutes in the GIMP to make the backgrounds transparent.

GIMP sucks in that it's not very well documented yet. There's loads it can do, but finding out that it can too it is a nightmare. I spent ages working out how to make things transparent, and trying to change the palette took me even longer (not that I did this on your pictures, just an example).

I know where you're coming from there.

I've had the gimp for at least a year, and I barely know how to do anything in it.

I just know how to make pictures and color and that's all I really need to know! XD
