I had figured that the child was a young Pigbuster. Mainly because PB doesn't have a girlfriend/wife and child and doesn't wear glasses.

Well I guess now that I think about it, you could look at it either as it being a young PB and the man in the photo being his father from whom he inherited his sense of style. Or as a glimpse into the future...where I gave him glasses because I thought it made him seem more fatherish.

Or maybe PB found a pair of glasses in the park and put them on because he thought they would make him look smart, but all they did was make it so he couldn't see. Thus he stumbles next to that woman and child and into the path of a photo taken by a mime. PB grabs the kid thinking it is a pork sausage (the woman distracted by a sudden phone call). PB then buys the photo because of his love for mime photography and proceeds home with child. Upon getting home he takes of the glasses and realizes his blunder, but because he has forgotten where the park is he decides there is no hope of returning the child and decides to raise him as his own.

That sounds about right.

Am I the only one here who thinks that the voting period for the FAOTM compos is far too long. Why is it always a week or more? After a week, we've lost loads of time. If the winner then doesn't post a new thread, we could be left with only half a month.

I say in future we make the voting period 3 days. If there's no new thread after a week, someone else should make one.

Besides, I'd rather have a system where people have a reasonable amount of time to get their art done than one arbitrarily constrained by calendar limitations.
