A year or two ago I played what I thought was Worms 3d on a friends XBox.

He had done extensive characterisation and his worms had different hats and helmets and beards etc.

I have just bought Worms 3D for PC and can't seem to find any of these features available for customisation.

He also had maps like Wild West and Camelot and a football stadium that just don't seem to be there in my version.

Am I missing something, or are these features simply not there in the PC version?

The version you played on the Xbox was Worms4, the sequel to Worms3D.

Yup, Worms 4: Mayhem is the game you're looking for.

Also, Worms 4 Mayhem is the best of the 3D generation games, with more weapons, features and less bugs.

Bummer. How did you ever think it was W3D?

I had a similar mishap like this a long time ago.
I rented Super Mario RPG for the Snes thinking it was Supar Mario 64(I didn't know it was called SM64 or that it was a game for the N64, all I had seen were the graphics being 3d, and SMRPG looked similar...)

This was, of course, ages ago, when the N64 had just appeared.

Of course I don't regret it, it turned out to be an excellent game, and I got the game that next christmas.
