Don't tell me you didn't.

I was thinking of restarting the ISO town thing again.
Cept with bigger buildings than mine. Cause that door is TINY.

That's a very 60s town hall.
It's also very tall, considering it's twice the size of the doorway. And very narrow, too. I don't know how you expect to fit people in that thing. It's only as wide as three doors!
And the cars would have to be really small too, if they expect to fit in those spaces.

Oh, and there's a line running through the roof too, for some reason.

Also it has a fountain hovering in the air next to it. I'd have thought that was notable.

It's not bad, but shading and maybe a crease at the body/tail join might not go amiss.

Yes. Just because something is isometric doesn't mean you have to draw everything as a block.

That's obviously because since 'eric prydz - call on me', people everywhere have a much higher standard of music. And with such a boring, dull song, the flash is just ruined now. What Mukee should do is do the flash again, only using 'eric prydz - call on me' as the backround music. I'd give that a 10/10!

I think I see what Xinos did. He changed the angles from the almost 120 degrees that you get with the normal "diagonals are composed of 2x1 rectangles" method" to actual 120 degree angles, presumably by squashing the image a tiny amount horizontally.

shadowman
14 Dec 2007, 12:09
Yeah. It kinda gives the impression that even if the image is 2D, it could easily be placed an a 3d environment. It also somewhat changes how the building looks, but that's okay :P.

The C on the top doesn't make any sense. It's projected wrong, and why would they put it there at all? Who'd ever see it? And if they did, why that way around?

Star Worms
20 Dec 2007, 00:29
It needs some depth - the whole surface is very flat. In real life you'd probably find the windows indented slightly with a window-sill visible. Secondly, show a few things through the windows like you did with the door. Despite the shading on one side of the building, the window colours look odd as they are so different from each other. Also, the middle lines shouldn't really be 2 pixels wide.

shadowman
20 Dec 2007, 01:39
The worm also looks a little wonky and out of proportion.

I had to make the middle line 2 pixels wide so it would be in the exact centre of the door. Plus, what you suggested is a very good idea, but if I did that, it would have taken a whole lot longer. Although I might try it and post an updated version.
