no background = transparency. You can achieve that using a combination of Paint (your own made pics) or any other program (not all) and PowerPoint.

e.g. you create a pic in Paint or Flash, then copy and paste it to POWERPOINT. Click on the image/pic you created, and if the picture toolbar doesnt appear, right click the pic and select something that says Picture Toolbar.

On the picture toolbar, find for an icon which is like a pen coming from the top right and two perpendicular lines on the bottom left (leave your mouse over the icon and it will say "Set Transparent Colour".) Click on the icon and then click on the background, and all pixels that are of the same colour as the background (e.g. white) will become transparent (background, teeth, eyes, anything of the exact same colour value).

just make sure anything that you want to be white must be somehow different from the background.

Simple solution: With the forum on the screen, press PrintScreen/SysRq.
Then, open a new Paint window, and take the colour in the screenshot of the forum you want. Put the colour as a background for your picture. I believe it's called FAKE transparency.

This will not work if someone else uses a different forum skin, or if someone quotes the post with the picture.
However, it's simple. :p

Wait, do you want the backround to have a separate colour for the picture, or to have the same colour as the forum?

no don't do this

Go download GIF Movie gear, here: http://www.gamani.com/gmgdown.htm

File > Insert Frames > The picture you want to add transparency to

Double click the frame, hit the "Global Frame" tab. Check "Transparent", and hit "Edit...". Find the color you want to make transparent, that is to say, the color you want to not show up when you post it on the forum. Now save it as a .gif.

Ok, now that I've done something nice for you, can you do something nice for me and post threads with more helpful titles and with post bodies that elaborate on the problem so I know what you are asking, that would be nice

Generally when someone says "Powerpoint", they are referring to powerpoint.

Happens a lot to me that I mistake MS Office programs. :(

Often I work for hours until I realize that my Access database only consists of slides with the standard template backgrounds, random text with the ant effect and the typewriter sound for each letter.

Curse you, Bill!
