Just finished it. It was orgasmic. Now for HL2:E2....

I'm stuck on the first Companion Cube level. But then, my vision has started to blur and I'm losing my sense of direction, so I'm taking a break and I'll come back to it later.

besides, I generally disregard illegal copying as a possibility, as it's almost guaranteed to result in either a crappy, stripped-down, barely-working, or incomplete experience compared to the legitimate version.

Yeah, TF2 is great. I can see it becoming one of my favourite online games over the next year.

I can't say if it's the best game though. They're all rather different, and at the moment Portal is up with the Best Games Ever in my view.

Portal was really really brilliant. I love it. Not too impressed by Episode two so far. My PC is a piece of sh!t, so it probably doesnt' look anything like it should.

The commercial made it look like it would kill you with puzzling mind games. some of it made me think "Geez I might not be able to beat level one on that game!!!" well the game doesn't really get all that hard. the learning curve is extremely flat. they make sure to introduce everything slowly and drill it in so you KNOW you'll be able to understand it all. some of the reaction-time tricks are a bit tricky, but there aren't too many of those outside of the advanced puzzles.

First, make one portal on the roof above the door, and the other in the middle of the platform below you. Go through the portals, trying to land in the other one, until you make it over the glass and onto the white platform.
Then, re-shoot the portal that was on the platform below the enterance directly below you, which should bring you back to the start. Re-shoot the other portal just below your platform and jump through. When you come out, make sure that you make it onto the frying platform (without frying, of course). Then simply jump to the safety of the exit.

roof then floor. make yourself fall really far, then shoot the end of the portal that's on the roof onto the floor instead, and you'll start doigna whack-a-mole bounce. then just keep doing that and moving right as best you can and you'll end up in the second trench. once there, shoot the left wall and the farthest right part of the floor, and go through the floor portal till you're moving fast enough to get on top of the hill.

Hahaha I beat two levels witouth doing what I had to do. :cool:
In one I just miracously went trough the terrain and got to the exit, and the other one I used an exploit to get a cube to where it should be witouth having to go trough what I was suposed to do to get it where it should be.
In the flash game btw. :p

That bit is designed to be impossible, it says you typed the wrong UIN+L no matter what you type.
In the bit at the start of the questionaire where it shows you your UIN+L and asks you to memorize it, some of the letters change ever few times it flashes so it is technicaly impossible to memorize properly.

You probably won't want to get the PS3 version. it sounds very much like Valve and EA have had difficulty getting the games to work on the system.
