Okay, okay, okay, here's my problem;

I was able to connect perfectly to Xbox Live last night, using my trusty Ethernet Cable that I got 4 days ago. Now, I turned it on today, and...lo and behold, the IP Address Test failed. It says it "Could not negotiate a lease with the DHCP server".

Note, NOTHING HAS CHANGED SINCE LAST NIGHT. WHATSOEVER.

Does anybody have a solution? I tried the static address thing, but then I can't get the DNS to work, even when I put it to the proper stuff and all.

Please help in the best ways you can.

I Can connect fine, so it may be your network connection. Have you checked all the settings?

Have you got a router?

Well, mainly aiming the question at robowurmz, because I was wondering if any settings on it had been changed, like the DHCP server being turned off.

Possiblities:
1. Slick's idea
2. Router problems.

I'm not behind a router, I have a USB modem that I connect through using ICS. I checked the ICS settings, DNS DHCP and everything is enabled, just like it was a couple of days ago...I really want to finish downloading the "skate." demo.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there somewhere in the interwebs a, you know, Xbox live support forum?
I'm guessing they would know more about it than we do.

I've tried everything they suggested, they're about as helpful as Xbox Support itself.

They keep saying "Try Static IP Address!!" I say "I have!" , and they just keep on saying the same stuff, which I keep telling them I've DONE all over and over again...

I don't even see why I should have to try static IP, Automatic (DHCP) worked 2 days ago!
